Bottega Veneta Resort 2025

The entire collection is up on Vogue Runway! Womenswear is superb, menswear is a let down (as usual) and very heavy and layered.

Why can't he do something effortless and relaxed for menswear for a change? His Bottega man feels so weighed down by all the styling gimmicks and heavy fabrics. Why?

This could be Gucci Ancora Resort 2025 easily...so devoid of identity!
You’re obviously entitled to not like it but what’s Ancora about this? While not his strongest showing, this feels like a consolidation of a lot of his past ideas in more wearable forms, quite a few looks calling back to previous precollections.

The younger models are not working here at all. They look like they're in costume. The older lady and the asian model are fabulous though!

I mentioned Ancora as an example, because it looks like it could be from any brand. Looks generic.

I think the clothes look beautiful with really interesting fabrications and textures. He does that really well. It goes wrong at the image department. This aesthetic has been adapted and assimilated by the likes of COS. He would benefit from a slightly more unique imagery. But asking something new from this industry at the current moment is like asking for world peace.

I see a clear identity in Blazy’s work: Bourgeoisie!
But it’s not polished, it goes all over the place for the sake of creativity.
He needs to edit because the pieces are good but depending on the styling, some looks are really «old fashioned » and some others are good.

The leopard skirt is fabulous and timeless but the whole look feels old.

He should work with Nickerson, really!

His menswear is so lazy and annoying I can’t stand it. Few seasons in and he should be able to produce desired pieces / silhouettes and he is just keep copying and pasting the same combinations and even the same pictures all over again (blue/pink/ red shot of men’s sitting with his fly unzipped). Womenswear has strong moments but menswear is a let down.

I do applaud his menswear bags designer because each season there is something I’d like to get and only my husband’s reason is preventing me from it…

It's just.. not really moving anywhere. At this point you really know what to expect from Blazy's BV, from the leather jeans frontal shot to the obligatory fringed pieces. Him not being the greatest colorist isn't helping either, but what's making this even harder to appreciate for me is the styling.. the layering and the color combos are not very pleasing or interesting. At this point, his work needs better editing and a stronger direction overall, piling those textures and colors on top of each other season after season is not quite hitting the mark.

Ancora is a feeling !!! one gets it or not lol
but i agree even if it's nicer than Ancora it's devoid of a clear id its design tricks and styling trick upon styling tricks using all the ingredients we know as modern cool Phoebe -ish sauce but without making clear vision just like the shows he does..... so i totally get the Ancora comment/critic.

its everything but also nothing does not mean its not nice made or beautiful but whats the story ? Lee´s BV was more clear even if i never worn anything from it but a wallet for the leather and color after he left lol

A lot of it is definitely in the styling but it's kitsch in the best way possible. His accessories are also so strong.
