Some pieces aren't my favourites, but this is So beautiful collection, third time in a row for me,concerning only HC by Bouchra, to love a collection by her, after her spring 2015 & Fall 2015 HC ones.
Finally someone who truly gets and undertands what Haute Couture should be like these times; She found the right balance between wearability and eye-catching details which can be easily stripped down for custom orders. I'm very pleased to see this contemporary, authentic and self-assured style that She has evolved so, kudos to Bouchra.
She has talent. It sort of reminded me of Balenciaga Spring 05, but just a little. There are very nice pieces, while other ones seem undone.
BTW, do you guys remember the press saying that Raf was giving couture a street allure? Bouchra has been about that the whole time, way before Raf. Actually, Raf didn't give couture any street allure, it was journalists' empty talk.
^I agree, bouchra has always done this type of easily wearable everyday couture, and she does it really well. Raf never really did anything innovative because what he did was already being done and done way better, besides it seems like his street allure couture came partly out of him not knowing how to design couture and utilize couture techniques
I wish she didn't use the nautical uniforms and 18th century French military as a reference in such manner... To me they are so Zara look, and too fresh in memory from the mid-2000's. For this reason she didn't win my admiration this time.
I wish I have a lot of money and commission her to do menswear for me. I always love her couture because there's a sense of luxury in every cloth that it so impeccably constructed with precision and articulation.

Well said!
Her S/S 15 and A/W 15-16 were better, and, sincerely, i'm not her fan.
This nautical uniforms or 18 centhury was yet in her ready-to-wear s/s 16 , and in r-t-w they are looking gorgeous.
↖︎thanks gazebo!
the 3rd to last look, the all black jacket dress thingey is the type of look i absolutely love to see on any women, simple as it seems it requires a certain attitude to pull it off, and of course, the cut is perfect here.
so looking forward to seeing her at Lanvin Pre fall come June.
By the way, can any French speaker or any one tell me how do you pronounce her name?
