Because everyone in the audience would have fainted because the clothes were that stellar lol.
Seriously though I LOVE this woman. I really became interested in her after seeing the a/w 13 collection. While this collection does seem to draw on some of the same themes explored in the previous season I kind of find the idea of continuity charming. Her clothes are very wearable, extremely well tailored, highly edited, and seem to have something in common with the prior season so there's no huge need to purge a closet and develop a completely different personality. I'm all for clothes with a shelf life and it seems she may be as well. Maybe this is a trend developing - fashion that lasts a bit longer. 20+ years ago companies could convince the public to buy their products because it was en vogue. Now in this Information Age people are more concerned about their financial future since the economic nosedive of '08 and value is more of a concern for customers of all economic standings. I'm not saying the market for a $5k dress is gone, it's just harder to sell because now it has to really seem like its worth the price, have a longer shelf life, be more versatile, etc. designers such as Bouchra Jarrar, I think, understand that and cater to that growing ideal. Voinnet even jumped on board.
