<br />louis Vuitton- Monogram Canvas

I have a rather random question, my birthday is in a few days and my boyfriend said he would buy me another purse.

I am interested in the Louis Vuitton Papillon 30, in the brown monogram canvas off e-luxury.

The only thing is that I wear all black almost all the time...so I have to wonder if it's a bad investment for me. I am not interested in any of the other LV lines other then maybe the Multicolore one...but it's far too expensive for me. I really love the Papillon design too, very cute....but not overly so.

I also was curious about durability, I am not rough with my purses, but still I want something that I know won't fall apart...especially at $700.00.

Last thing is I am afraid maybe it won't be big enough for me; I am bad with measurements so I am not sure how it stacks up against my other purses. I have a Fendi baguette and when I carry it, I have to carry a small backpack too.

Any advice would be very much appreciated.

i say go for it! it's a great bag..practical size and shape.
the monogram canvas is also a pretty safe choice to make when buying a lv bag as it goes with everything, and the pattern will always be 'in' ... i wear a lot of black as well, and my monogram canvas bags coordinate well

you mentioned that you're not good with measurements so you wouldn't be sure how it would compare to your other purses... eluxury has this 'alternate' photo of the bag with a person modeling it that might be of use to you:

hopefully this would give you a better understand of what the bag is like in proportion to the body.

it is a great practical size, and really can hold a lot. also, you needn't worry about the durability... lv bags hold up very well and seemingly last forever . also, if anything should ever happen to your bag you can always take it by your local vuitton boutique for repairs.

I think I'm going to go for it...or rather point and make BF buy it.

I feel like I've gone over to the darkside...since I loathed LV for the longest time. I think maybe it happened, because I kept seeing fakes and thinking 'damn the real ones look better then that'....

I would love a multicolore too, but will have to wait until I have more money and I really want something more classic right now.

Now if only I an find a wallet that I think is worth paying as much as your average Kate Spade bag costs.

the Vuitton bags, especially the canvas ones, are very very durable and sturdy, they'll last you probably forever
Papillon is one of my all time favorite (mine is in Damier though), great shape and actually holds A LOT
the color of the Monogram canvas will also match your black outfits nicely
