Bright Eyes

I think I did...

You know what? For any reason at all yesterday I had a thought that ended with "I'm a monkey"

 hahahaaaaaaa...
oh yes he is!
that PETA interview was too funny...but nothing beats that YMCA dance

ooooh man, the good old times...

the YMCA dance will always have a special place in my little indie heart!!!

yeah that's just a classic... bless Conor's golden heart!

anyone have a spare ticket for his show at koko in march? i'm dying, it's the sufjan stevens situation all over again...

I love every single song on every record after Collection of Songs Written and Recorded 1995-1998 (only like a few on that one. Too tragic for me lolol.)

I think it's funny people are always like, "HE CAN'T SING" because he knows he can't sing. Maybe I am biased, though. I think his music is awesome, but his new long hair is a major downgrade... :/

^^yes!!! :(

Cassadaga didnt really impress me, like all the other albums before...i think the best was I'm wide awake its Morning...

he looks very different..when i saw the video clip for his new song i thought it was the arcade fire

love that

^^every song on that album is amazing! especially 'Lua' and 'Poison Oak' oh and of course 'First day of my life' and.... just ALL of them!

indeed! but my favourite bright eyes song would have to be 'no lies, just love'. ahh so tragic

omg yes i love that one too! especially that part:

I wrote this for a baby
Who has yet to be born
My brother's first child
I hope that womb's not too warm
Cause it's cold out here
And it'll be quite a shock
To breathe this air
To discover loss
So I'd like to make some changes
Before you arive
So when your new eyes meet mine
They won't see no lies
Just love.
Just love.

I want first day of my life to be my wedding song. You know the one you have your dance too. I'm not getting married though.

I can't believe I'm Wide Awake, It's Morning is most people's favorite CD he has made. It's probably my least favorite (although, I really like all of them).

I did not like Cassadega at the beginning but now it's growing on me. doesn't come close to the emotion that his other albums stir in me but it's not bad. I miss the NYC influence, though it sounds like for the sake of his health it's probably a good thing he's taking a step back from that. I find that the production and back-up vocals really remind me of late 80's - early 90's Leonard Cohen. not sure what I think about that.

anyway, I'm going to see his show in Toronto tonight. I'll post a review tomorrow.
