londoneast, thank you for posting these!
I've always longed for the picture with gunter sachs in such a great quality. :flower:

(the fourth pic is just frightening,though. not those ENORMOUS lips again :doh: :p)

:woot: Some great photos have been posted here since the last time I have posted on this thread.

I wonder how many photos there are of her? Seems like so many. I don't know if I would be able to handle that well, but it is the price you sometimes pay for fame. Perhaps that is one of the reasons she is kind of a recluse these days.

I hate it when lip liner is drawn way beyond the natural lip line like that. It's not as bad as all the women that get lip implants in effort to look like Angelina Jolie, it rarely looks real. bleech :sick:

@IcePrincess:
judging from what I've read about brigitte, I think she mostly adored all the attention given to her. perhaps her reclusion in the last years is really just a result of her bitterness because of her ageing.

I have to disagree. I don't think she adored all the attention she got. She was forever in hiding and even went so far as building a wall around her house. It's hard to believe, but she thought herself unattractive when she was young.

^having to admit that I didn't know about that (hiding,wall), I'm persuaded by your opinion. :blush: have you read her autobiography, 60swildchild?

Her style is truly timeless.

You can tell Kate Moss is heavily inspired by Brigitte Bardot.

That's true. The fact is that she changed people's perception of beauty too. She started out in the 50's and the ideals of beauty were quite different at the time. Think Marylin Monroe. (did you know that she met Marylin in the toilets at Buckingham when she was presented to the Queen ? She said rsome years ago that Marylin was the most beautiful woman she has ever seen) When she was she said young people would mock her full lips and say she looked like a pug.

Oh and you're right she's famous to be extremely private and has always been so.

I've always found it ironic that she had beauty and celebrity but didn't give a damn about it while people would kill to look like she did or to have her celebrity.
