Just noticed - in the picture "Brigitte Bardot prepares for Ballet show for French tv. 1958. by Nicolas Tikhomiroff" she hasn't shaved her underarms:S
I know its french stereotype but...

Weird, they look shaved to me !

It's not a french thing, you can see loads of picture of Sophia Loren with unshaved armpits too, it was very common at the time ! and there's nothing gross about it

I've never seen the footage of this ballet show, someday maybe...
