Burberry F/W 2024.25 London

It feels very abercrombie and fitch. Its so rustic feeling and very themed. I think a runway build out with camper vans and tents would help deliver the vision better.

Overall its not very original. Its more of an Outfitter than fashion. Like a duffle coat w a fur collar is hardly design. Burberry has always been Outfitters not a Fashion House. The difference is exactly that - Outfitters are not trendy and are a little more rugged. However i think its his best collection.

The collection could have been edited more. I didnt care for all the knit fringe. Didnt like it at alaia really dont like it here.

The concept of an "industry plant" in the field of modeling is... absurd, depressing, and hilarious.

it doesn't feel like an appropriate term for the modeling industry unless you're talking about nepo babies (like lila moss) or kendall

otherwise to make it big, you need a big sponsor or cover moment. that's the game.

I never understood the Agyness hate. Was she my all time favorite? No. But if anyone had any doubts about her beauty or modeling, I’d suggest they take a look at her Giorgio Armani ads from way back when - especially the ones where she had the dark hair.

The colour palette is classic Barbour, very British. The new marsh-coloured variant on the Burberry check is great.

I thought the outerwear was strong. I would have left out the deep v necks, furry shoulders, paisley prints and Naomi.

I can't quite put a finger on it, but there's something indelible about Lee's Burberry that appeals to me. I think his point of view is unique among his peers.

I think its a good collection, after years your seeing a collection which feels true to Burberry's British ethos. I just wish they used Minks for the fur pieces. What material is this , does not look like faux fur to me. My issues with the show is , its drab in parts.

agyness deyn looks so cool and lovely - adore that she opened.
and i am always up for a paisley blouse, especially if it comes with an extra long matching fringed scarf.
there is lots here i could give or take, but it's not horrible

I love it! Reminds me of those old British tv shows set in small towns in the countryside. The movement of some coats was too stiff but as a whole it was a great collection and very British. The cast and soundtrack was the topping on the cake. He better bring back those 2000s models for the campaign.

It was quite funny and significant that Daniels outing at the end of the show was like he was hiding in the shadows. I still don't like his work for Burberry, but it's less juvenile now and looks a bit bolder.
There were at least three good offerings in a muddy sea of pretentiousness to spot.

That's quite an improvement for him
Oh my husband and I just disliked the show or cringed on so many aspects (collection, footwear, the dresses, cast, sountrack, set, etc, too many to elaborate) but when Daniel did his bow, we were : "You're right to be ashamed !!! Go hiding !!".
It's still frumpy, heavy, unpoetic, unromantic, colors are just variations of the Bristol Stool Chart, but the only good point is the absence of fugly prints (roses, ducks or whatever).
I think that's what make it less juvenile.

Also Naomi, stay first row.

While I still think the pre-fall collection was much stronger, this one is a step in the right direction. Of course some of the pieces are questionable, but at least they got rid of the Chess bag and the Rose clutch, both of them being extremely ugly. I'm also not so sure about the knitwear. However, the rest of the collection is just nice and with the right attitude.

If the rumours are true and this was Lee's final outing, Burberry is unrepairable and it would be solely the suits' fault. Lee without Burberry would be fine, Burberry without Lee would not as he's literally their last hope.

I also keep hearing this could be his last one for Burberry. Their stocks and shares tanked since his arrival… the suits want him out. Can’t say they are wrong

The only item I've ever purchased from Burberry was a pair of sock boots that Tisci designed and I admit I have never been a Burberry fan (but I like Tisci). Soon after, he had his last show. Now I am starting to like Burberry again when Lee (a designer I love, especially his Bottega) is finally starting to show more of his design style. Judging from patterns and the Burberry past, it might well be some of the last work we see from him at the house.
I also really hope he isn't a rabid racist.

Supposedly Lee was fired by Francois-Henri Pinault himself for a racist outburst according to 'insiders'. However, this has been officially denied by Kering. There is no proof of this, so it might as well be some lie to discredit him.

Apparently, it was more to do with the level of tension he created in the studio. I think the racism story was sensational for social media.
