I like this trend, I find it very intresting to use such a material.

Reminds me of jelly bags. I wonder if anyone would buy a "jelly jacket"

It reminds me of that trend in the 80's...those jelly sandals...

You beat me to the punch!! :)
I was going to say that ... ;)

A good example of actual rubber from Dior would have to be basically anything from the Fall 2003 collection, albeit the rubber was used in a much more fetishistic manner.

as far as it's used in small quantities it shud b ok..but not like a whole outfit!!

Not too sure about actual rubber, but I've got a neoprene dress I got from a surf shop in Cornwall. I've made a neoprene jacket, too.

Depends how it's used. ;)

The Dior coat is quite cool and those Helmut rocks.
I kinda like it. I mean, the last few looks from the Dior fetish collection are harly wearable. It's interesting to see from a fashion standpoint, since it's such a rarely used material, but it is hardly wearable. The rubber or whatever it was that was used for the trench coat in the first picture and the collection that it was from looked really cool. It doesn't look like anything you see everyday, but yet it's wearable because it's not screaming "I like to be tied up, or tying others up", it's just really interesting.

i love the makeup, its so clownly! but if i ever make it to designing and having fashion shows which is my ultimate dream, my first line will have models with no makeup, no hair done, just, natural faces and hair with crazy wild clothes. but, imagine everyone having rubber everything... like, rubber skirts like that one, jelly bags, coats, shirts, shoes, it'd b like a jelly world! it might be fun to look at, but definately not take part in. why would you want to show your underwear? too trashy for me :P

When asked on burnt rubber, Cathy Horyn said it was the 'blooper' of the season. Saying, "What the use of that, it's not wearable?" and calling it beef-jerky.
I think I'm beginning to agree.
