Calvin Klein Collection F/W 2025.26 New York

No, it is not groundbreaking, and yes, I quite love it.
There is a glamour attached to the Calvin Klein name that brings me to the 80s and early 90s, Kim Basinger... ❤️

If there is one brand that can make this work with authority is Calvin Klein. They are not jumping in the trend because they created the trend.

^ I was too young at the time but I wonder if this is how people felt in the late 90s, that then led to those crazy 00s looks. I'm a sucker for a sleek aesthetic but starting to experience a bit of fatigue

1000%. I was a lot into minimalism but for the past years I am fed up with this aesthetic.

I think now it is either good taste or just bad taste.

I enjoyed minimalism because we had also a lot of brands doing something and being unique which are less and less the case.

Why brands are so afraid of making mistakes, to challenge their clientele, to push things further ?

Because honestly why CK wasting their last dimes on this woman when this exact collection can be done by the studio ??

Because companies don't want to "waste" the money on something that they might not make back.

It's why fashion is stuck in it's rut and designers won't move on from "the philo formula", it's why movies are bland and predictable so they will be the next "million dollar blockbuster", and why we haven't had a large shift in the music industry since R&B/Hip-Hop became the dominant trend back in the mid 2010's.

We need to get weird, we need to be stop being afraid to make big mistakes, and we need to stop being so stuck trying to do "what sells".

Sorry for the tangent, tbh I was really excited for her appointment but from what everyone is saying it seems like all we ended up with was another philo-clone.

I think we all already knew what this collection was going to look like. It’s yet another Phoebe-adjacent, quiet luxury concoction. Is it bad? No. It’s pretty, it’s well put together, it’s even desirable. But you can get these exact same clothes from like 20 different brands out there from different price points. Why would someone shop here instead? What sets this collection apart? Nothing. They’re probably hoping the name and heritage will bring that costumer, but I’m afraid that won’t be enough.

i want everything !!!!!!!! i don't have any of these already in my closet finally something new and oversized ........ all for 1/5 of THE ROW price what more do you want !!!!

Collection is back guys !!!!
I share your opinion. Love all the menswear. I want everything, and I buy at Celine, Jil Sander and The Row. b*tch I want everything. Hi Calvin open my account again. I am baaaaaack!!!

I could easily do without the menswear. Calvin Klein never had a strong menswear line in the first place, and I don't think menswear is as hot of a commodity like it was, say, 15 years ago, so I see zero point in bring it back.

And those shoes are a definite mis-step in the wrong direction.

I'll still keep my fingers crossed. I'll give it 2 more seasons before I decide to pump it up or dump it out.

Oh naur! I loved the Italo Zuchelli menswear. It was sexy, sporty and had a hint of irony.

Blasphemous! Italo Zuchelli menswear was the perfect mix of sexy, sporty and masculine - only thing somewhat similar is emporio Armani, but I found Calvin Klein to be lighter and more American. I’m upset I got rid of some of my pieces because they are not easy to come by.

Ppl saying this looks like Raf's work, but I'd honestly be happy if the latest Prada show had more clothes like these (the single plaid shirt here looked more desirable than any of the plaids.. or flowers.. or stripes :downcastwsweat: Miuccia & Raf presented weeks ago), and less of the unflattering trousers and cowboy boots. Many seem to be over this type of polished minimalism, but they likely forget that: a) Calvin Klein was very much about that in the 1st place; b) at the end of the day it makes more sense to do decent tailoring and some neat shoes than attempt to create yet another runway gag for a highly commercial brand that is selling mostly underwear and fragrances. In that sense, I support this reboot and hope for some more sensuality and distinction next season, particularly when it comes to menswear.

Exactly! Everyone keeps saying this looks like Raf Simons or Phoebe’s Celine as if Calvin Klein didn’t pioneer this aesthetic in the first place.
You guys drain the excitement out of every major fashion moment with all this negativity, Calvin Klein Collection is finally back on the NYFW schedule after nearly nine years for god’s sake! This is a big deal for them.

Well, maybe it’s better not to be back than to be back like this. It’s so… mediocre and it’s been done a MILLION times.

Really exhausting. They will have to close it again in a few years. Once you go the Boss route you are f****.

I was told today by a friend that the designer said “I want Calvin Klein to be an adjective, like that’s super Calvin Klein”. Gurl, I must say you totally flopped.

You see this and all you think is: this is so Phoebe Philo!

If you are going to be that pretentious giving that sort of headlines, at least try something that has not been done, overdone, done again, repeated, reproduced and copied by everyone in the world. Even The Row could make Phoebe’s style a little bit of their own and make it a little bit more effortless, less stiff, less over-styles and less pretentious.
