Calvin Klein Collection F/W 2025.26 New York

I’ve seen women in suits and business clothes but when they do fashion, it’s not this.
I think these suits would be awkward in an office tbh. Maybe a woman in the forum should chime in though.
Miami is a mess. I rarely see women looking fabulous here anymore it's just a lot of tights. Cheap tights to work with a white shirt. Skirts are all the way over. Fabulous nice silk shirts forget about it it's just tights bodysuits with the jacket and that's all. And it's much too hot for sweaters forget about it

I love the simplicity of collections, and the throwback to 90's minimalism. I loved it with Sabato's Gucci very much, but we see how that ended up. For a label like Calvin Klein that pioneered cleanliness in design, I hope it will be different.

I love what she did with one of the most historic American fashion houses of all time. I loved the promo images, and that rug with the text- very chic. It felt familiar but intentional. I loved the color story as someone who grew up during the CK heyday.

I loved it. Classic Calvin.

Spring-Summer 1995...modern, wearable, flattering, sexy...exactly the opposite of what Verónica delivered.

99% of designers today don't understand what made 90's fashion interesting.

of course it wasn't a general rule, but you can see how the entire decade year by year tried to strip away all the heavyness of 80s fashion: the volumes of fabric, the decoration, the shoulder pads lol, the hair make up, everything was streamlined and it culminated in the late 90s minimalist moment.

Today's designers are trying to reproduce that aesthetic with the wrong elements. Decoration/print was banished from runaways but useless volumes of fabric, overcomplicated constructions and weird/rigid/crungy fabrics still ruin any effort to make effortless garments.

I mean, what is this? "I AM A FAAASHION DESIGNEEEER, HEAR ME ROAAAR"?

i do wonder how you can make this modern without looking too basic/reissued/what’s already in the market.
her job not the possible client or us to provide the answers...... even if we can dream it up in our minds or pull it from other brands into one look.

its also not only her more that go to do a relaunch of an iconic house and its like a labour of puzzle to find reasons to justify its existence.

right now these close have no reason to exist no matter how much i close my eyes on on part or take one piece mix it with something else etc etc etc

there is too much stuff around and people should be more critical of what is produced

there's even a ig account (@SUGARLESSCOAT) that shows how google images shows you same items from other brands from this collection its ridiculous ALGORITHM MINIMAL COSPLAY FASHION HAS BECOME

I saw this tag online but the rebranding of this line really makes me appreciate Raf's tenure despite the fact that I used to loathe it.

Initially, the first look coupled with the almost clinical-like runway led me to believe that she was going in a fetish or voyeuristic direction (think Anna Uddenberg’s Continental Breakfast). But there was no “sextitude” here at all.

What I will say is that the fit of the slimmer pants/denim was great, and I really liked the looks with the plaid shirts. Everything else was not good. The shoes and accessories are not desirable. The tailoring was shapeless and unflattering—very late 80s with no attempt at reinterpretation for a contemporary consumer. She’ll be out in a couple years.

i actually loath both now as they represent 2 opposite spectrum of wrong rebranding of a brand that has a DNA/image that is so visually clear.

both are pretentious euro creative directors with no understanding of one of the few american icons brands and fail to respect what makes american brands special to be this cross of high and low and aspirational storytelling through visual impact that has touch points with a wider culture.

one is overtly basic and the other was overtly over designed and both are intellectually circle j offs lacking the human touch wich calvin had in order to connect emotionally with the brand.

both these creative director lack sex and are as fridged in appearance as their designs
