Calvin Klein Collection S/S 2011: Lara Stone by Mert & Marcus

Another Epic season for Calvin Klein.
Lara's ad is breathtaking. I love the fact that its both a glorious tribute to the Calvin Klein aesthtetic but also a glorious tribute to Lara's beauty. They had the same concept for FW but here they put it on a whole other level. As far as Im concerned this is very close to perfection. And already part of All time favourite CK campaigns.

The men ones are also pretty good.

Stunning! I love how crisp clean this image is with cutting lines, you can almost feel the clothes. Simplicity at it's best. Lara just glows and takes this campaign to the next level with her stunning face. I'll blow it up and put it on the wall once I get my hands on it. The best this season along the work of Walker for Mulberry.

Quite an unextraordinary campaign for such a great collection. I don't hate it; it's just typical Calvin Klein Collection only with higher contrast.

RUNWAY TO TV: Kicking off with the Golden Globes on Sunday, Calvin Klein Inc. is adding a new layer to its Calvin Klein Collection media strategy — television.

A rarity for designer collections, CKI will unveil its first-ever Calvin Klein Collection commercial during the pre-Globes red-carpet programming, which will run throughout NBC’s live broadcast of the awards and beyond. Fabien Baron directed the commercial, which features Lara Stone and Tyson Ballou in La Jolla, Calif. The ad showcases the full Collection assortment, from clothes to clutches, belts, sunglasses and furniture. “It helps illustrate the lifestyle of our Collection,” said CKI president and chief executive officer Tom Murry.

There are 15-, 30-, 60- and 90-second formats, which will continue to run after the awards in 200 additional spots, including on “Extra,” “Access Hollywood,” “Today,” “Desperate Housewives,” “Modern Family,” “Anderson Cooper 360” and the NFL playoffs — expecting to reach more than 20 million viewers. For the next four weeks, it also will be shown on New York’s TaxiTV, which should result in about 2.7 million impressions, and on vogue.com.

Murry declined to disclose the size of the media buy, but the brand-centric clip can go well beyond this fashion season. “We feel it has a fairly extensive shelf life and we can run it again this year, or next year,” Murry said. “This is iconic Calvin product. We can run it in Milan or in Tokyo, or around a store-opening event, for instance. It really has multiple usages.”

no wonder the video is fantastic, if it's directed by genius Fabien Baron. :woot:

bold and graphic, yet quiet and soft ...
perfect !

i just don't get what's going on downthere with that pants "à pinces" ....
eventhough they did their best with them ...
i have to check it in shop by curiosity ... i don't get how it is made ...

Lara looks so sexy in that video. It looks even better than in ads.

Wow!! Woke me right up from the deadly boredom of the Golden Globes- a really great commercial, and what can you say about Lara...? :crush:

The one thing I don't like about this campaign is the scared quality Lara has in it. She looks bird-like and wispy.

I guess it shows her versatility - but the fact is I don't like it much.

I just saw this was shot in La Jolla, one of the truly beautiful places in California....Memories, light the corners of my mind... :innocent:

Some of these look like out takes, like she was getting ready to pose but they took the shot anyway.
