CAP 74024 #13 by Steven Klein

I love the Vanessa Paradis cover, very vibrant and unexpected but I hate the layout. I don’t think it serves the photography on all the covers.
It’s unfortunate.

The Klein story reminds me of to State of Emergency story by Meisel. Steven has some eds with his aesthetic. Klein seems the only contemporary photographer that inspired Meisel. I like them both.

The carnal and cold “inspection” Klein covershot is amazing and classic Klein— and very Dutch magazine. Why anyone should apologize for digging it is beyond me: The best of high fashion imagery is unapologetically objectifying, unashamedly sexualizing, uncomfortably exploitive and straightup hyper-horny. A strong, complimentary juxtaposition to the gorgeously feminine, evocative and painterly shot of Vanessa's. Edita’s is a disappointment and why anyone would photograph her looking so sad is beyond me.

The others are so unnecessary.

Yes, thats what i meant :magic:
Sad is so expensive, the shipping for me costs €45

Yes, it is expensive...and it's weird after a few months they increase the normal 18 euro price to 36/45,etc...anyway...

Yeah the best moment from Klein...i think we are headed to go back to this era...crossing fingers...the same editor have another publication calle Les Hommes Publics/ Les Femmes Publiques it comes half men's and half women...and since last issue they have an special cover with a full frontal male model and they charge 20 euro instead of the regular 10....

The Klein's, Vanessa's & Edita's covers just are worth it of this mag.

Even with the improvement with this issue....still not there...some contents are a little off...like they wanna be radical and independent but looks like a fashion school project...

I don’t particularly find these erotic content from fashion magazines anything fashion. Considering the large economic situation we are at, it all feels like a poor attempt to compete with Onlyfan or whatever adult content websites are aiming for.

Where are the contents? I would love to see Klein's ed complete.

We've seen this kind of police/security strip search story from Klein many times over the decades, it's not nearly as edgy and subversive in 2021 as he no doubt thinks it is.

For me, Klein has always been at his strongest when he injects p*rn*gr*ph*c and homoerotic iconography into the context of high fashion (his campaigns for DSquared and Dolce & Gabbana, and Tom Ford immediately spring to mind). By contrast, this story with its gratuitous male nudity and basic styling (or lack thereof) screams "budget constraints" more than anything else.
