Nicolas Sarkozy and Carla Bruni 'are planning their first child'

Nicolas Sarkozy and Carla Bruni are planning to have their first child together, a close personal friend of the couple has revealed.
The French president's millionaire pal Jacques Seguela broke the news to France's leading celebrity magazine Voici this week.
Advertising tycoon Seguela introduced Sarkozy to the beautiful former supermodel at a Paris dinner party two years ago.

He said: 'Nicolas Sarkozy and Carla Bruni very much want to have a child. Carla has already said so several times, otherwise I would not be allowed to say this.
'Everyone knows about it now. They are a young couple, and like all young couples, they want to start a family.'
Sarkozy is also said to believe that having a baby will boost his chances of winning the next presidential election in 2012.
The 54-year-old presdient already has three children from two previous marriages.
Former supermodel Bruni, 41, has one son from a previous relationship.
Sarkozy has two sons, Pierre, 24, and Jean, 22, from his first marriage to Marie-Dominique Culioli, who he divorced in 1996.
He has a 12-year-old son Louis from his second marriage to Cecilia Ciganer-Albeniz, whom he divorced in 2007.
Carla has one son from a previous relationship while Nicolas has two sons from his first marriage and a 12-year-old son from his second marriage
Bruni - who has had previous relaionships with Mick Jagger and Eric Clapton - has a nine-year-old son Aurelian with philosophy professor Raphael Enthoven.
Bruni and Sarkozy began a whirlwind romance after Seguela brought them together on a 'blind date' at a dinner party in November 2007.
They married just three months later at a private ceremony in the Elysee Palace on February 2, 2008.
