yeah, great news, thanks for bringing in KLm
i so need to check L' eclaireur next time i'm in Paris

I'll be in Paris with my soon-to-be-wife over New Year's, and we are definitely hitting L'eclaireur! I haven't done the shopping thing in Paris, so I'm very much looking forward to that. I don't have much CCP (price tag issues), but maybe I can scoop some sale stuff (for me, not her, muahaha).

I find that the womenswear has great pices (as a re-tooled version of the menswear),
but its really not flattering AT ALL to the woman wearing it..

Hello KLm

L'ecleure never put any CCP on sale.. :o  as far as I am aware of it. BUT they do have a pretty good collection. not comprehensive but good collection when I was there like 2 months ago.

^Those pictures you posted are melted into my memory. I love that stuff.

I love that "Nick Cave of fashion"...sooo true! And yes indeed, despite being so darkly he does have wonderful sense of humour.

Great hearing L'Eclaireur and Maxfield are supporting him. The funny thing about the comparisons to Dior Homme and Lagerfeld is that frankly he's ten times better at that. In other way's as well. Of course,it's great news to me....I'm a huge fan of that gender modification. I just wish more women's designer's would do it more often.

Heh, you should hear the guys at A bemoan his sabbatical for next season

^ Thanks for that, runner. I'm not sure I'm entirely convinced by the exhibition concept, it sounds a bit overcalculated to me; but of course, I haven't seen it. Perhaps some of our Viennese members can check it out for us?

On the MAK press website (http://www.mak.at/presse/) there's a few photos of the exhibition and of the three collections mentioned in the press release, plus a long article on CCP in German.

Here's the pics from the site (some of them might have been posted earlier in this thread):

How well does that translucent leather hold up? I can't imagine it looking very good after a while. A part of me thinks it will dry out and crack through....

^Agreed, but my God that is awesome!!!!!! :woot:  Although I think I preferred it used for jackets.

 That is utterly beautiful. I want a pair of trainers with that leather.

The jacket in that material is nice, but the boots look a bit like plastic wellies
