I'm a size 7 in those. Poell sizing is way-off...

about S/S 07, highlights include skewed items, leather with paper-bonding, a series of evolved 2D pants including a new type of twist pants...

skewed is about front closure or neckline.
for example, "unlined taped skewed" jacket fastens obliquely in front.
but it's not too much. it just looks naturally skewed, so still even classic.
skewed shirts would be interesting under jackets, and cool in a funny way.
also it's available in t-shirts etc.

in some way, paper-bonding looks a bit like polyurethane-coated items from fall.
but it looks more natural and light and dry.
that treatment comes with calf jacket/coat, cordovan boot, bag etc.
by the way, there is a garment-dyed jacket in paper as well.
its coloring is beautiful. it reminded me of dirty raw opal rather than marble.

CCP worked on two-dimentional leg shapes further this time.
2D trouser in the pic below developed into some variations like:
*flat bending
*flat kneeling
*flat 1stepahead
*flat half circle
each different angle makes its own peculiar breaks and fit in the leg.
and the flat half circle could be a new take on twist pants.
some might find twist pants too warm for summer wear, because of their construction.
but the new pants in the shape of a crescent moon make a similar effect to twist pants, without depending on the linings.
so they seem suitable for spring/summer.
there are crescent jeans as well of course, with the recent details of ear-pocket, overlock stitching and 4 pockets,
available in white and indigo on the verge of black.

some other pieces conspicuous among the collection:

jacket with shirt details such as shirt tail, fabric, cuffs, sleeve plackets...
I think the shirt by CCP has been something disguised as a shirt.
seemingly a shirt
but construction-wise, some item other than just a shirt,
maybe more of a jacket at heart
and this time he might demonstrate that by putting lapels to the shirt.
I don't know though. this is not officially true. just my guess.

fencing jacket in leather and denim

leather garment bag which could be more precious than the garment in it
leather mask
cordovan shoe/boot with rubber-layered sole
pressed boots
silver weight (or balance?) necklace
silver clasp knife necklace (the lace is crocheted with silver yarn)
and more

it would be great in the spring if I got to have
paper jacket, even though it's a bit too romantic
skewed short-sleeved shirt in cotton which feels like paper (but this is not paper actually)
nylon mods coat

Thanks runner - very interesting. Johnny is a convert now, so will be looking out for this come the new year.......

I don't know if I have anything useful to add, but I read through this whole thread over the past few days so thought I'd give my opinion. I really like how CCP really tries to reinvent garments through their construction, cut, and use of material. Rather than just embellishing or mashing together cultural references ("it's safari meets mod b-boy edwardian chic!") like a lot of designers, he actually changes how the garment is made and comes up with something truly new. It's a very utilitarian approach and not so much a "fashiony" approach which is really refreshing.
The picture of the skin-like gloves clutching the prison bars that kept popping up in this thread is truly disturbing. I don't think I could wear anything that gave me the creeps, but still they're very cool.
Anyway, I'm not sure how much I would actually buy because there is so much leather and the prices are so high. But if I was to get a thing or two (say some twist pants or a blazer) I would truly covet them.

wow...some cool sounding pieces...
thanks runner---

you know i agree with you about the CCP shirts...
they definitely feel more like a jacket...
the construction is immaculate...
*though i believe you said this actually can make it difficult to wear if the fit is not absolutely perfect - because it is not so forgiving...

this paper stuff sounds the most interesting to me...
i am always attracted to paper anything...
so paper clothes always interest me...
:p...

thanks for the spring preview...
;)

^those are the kangaroo leather gloves from last season. Atelier in New York still has them in stock for about $550. Beautiful pieces! I had a pair.

A new online store carrying the Continues line and CCP (including boots soon) just opened this week.

What's your impression on the influx of off-white pieces this season, is this something you want to incorporate i your wardrobe or a turn-ff from CCP for you?

I really love it. I like whites but for many other designers it results in either too bright of a white (too easily dirtied) or for shirts, ends up being see-thru. I've avoided a lot of whites because of this. Currently the only two white items I have in my wardrobe are a LMaltieri thick long sleeved tee and a thin Bally button up (bought for like $50 hehe).

I like the CCP dirtied/off-white because it's white without being so stark and "precious". With CCP's off white pants, I wouldn't be afraid to sit down on a park bench or anything like that. I'm really excited about the off white distressed/dirtied diagonal zip boots. Perfect!!!

What about you Fuuma? Is this heavy usage of white a good or a bad thing for you?
