Caroline De Maigret And Pharrell Williams Host A Dinner In Celebration Of Chanel's Gabrielle Bag

“I prefer style over fashion,” confessed Caroline de Maigret over cocktails beachside at Los Angeles restaurant Giorgio Baldi where Chanel hosted an intimate dinner with the help of De Maigret and Pharrell Williams. “Chanel has this timeless way of dressing that makes me feel like who I am,” continued De Maigret, who is, along with Williams, a face of Chanel’s newly released Gabrielle bag. De Maigret is no stranger to the world of Chanel. Among her vast collection of clothing and accessories from the French house, she especially loves a certain classic black jacket, “It just works with everything!”
Guests gathered outdoors for cocktails, where Katy Perry, Amber Valletta, and Dree Hemingway (all in Chanel, of course) joined Williams and De Maigret for a toast in honor of the release. Once inside, friends Kelly Sawyer, Jennifer Meyer, Jamie Schneider, and Rachel Zoe chatted over plates of grilled Mediterranean scampi and New York steak with baby artichokes. As guests finished up their last cups of butterscotch pudding, a line of cars waited near the Pacific Coast Highway to whisk partygoers off into the night.

“I’m a unisex girl,” de Maigret said. “My boyfriend is a musician. I’ve always taken all of his pieces in his closet, may it be a leather jacket or boyfriend jeans or a long white shirt.”

There to take it all in was Caroline de Maigret, the French model, co-host of the evening, and longtime friend of the house, who arrived at haute boîte Giorgio Baldi to toast her fellow Chanel muse.
