I think she was really beautiful,i mean i find classicly beautiful women boring.Sure there are a lot of them but they dont have that x-factor and characther like Jackie O,Babe Paley,C.Z Guest had and maybe today Jennifer Aniston,Kate Moss,Sarah Jessica Parker,Victoria Beckham&Sienna Miller have.
Give me any of them over Catherine Zeta Jones any day!Its something about those women its like they have charm and wit that makes them interesting!Its hard to explain but i find them more beautiful than some very obvious beauties without a charm!
Of course beauty is a mattter of personal taste,this is just my 2 cents to it!

^I agree! She was just like Jackie; neither of them were actually beautiful women but there was something about them; their style, personality and the way they carried themselves that made them beautiful. I prefer that to models and actresses any day.

I agree totally with the whole first bunch (or Capote's swans as they were know), however I believe SJP, Aniston and Beckham are nowhere near the league of these women. Especially Beckham. It's fun you think Miller is a unconventional beauty, it's the first time I hear that. That just prove the old saying...

About Carolyn as the 'ultimate ice-queen', I believe it's a false image created by the media. She hated the attention so would hardly ever smile for camera (which is a very unAmerican behavior btw). As a result, she would come off as aloof and cold. But whenever one of her close friend or anyone who worked or met her is asked to remember her, all they can talk about is her incredible sense of humour, her warmth, her touchy-feely attitude and irresistible smile.
Hardly the ice queen.

Harumi i agree those girls are no where near Swans i didnt meant that,no one we have today is near those great ladys.
But i find the women that i named very interesting despite being unconventional beauties(yes Miller too)they all have a certin something(yes Beckham too)that separates&makes them more fascinating from other classic beauties in showbiz today!

I think she was alot more attractive in her younger days before the ultra blonde hair and pencil thin eyebrows. I think her style is nice considering her height, but she looks washed out and harsh her last years. Iam sad about her and JFK JR tragic death.

Carolyn was truly beyond words. There is no explaining that kind of style. It can't be learned or copied or even understood. She just so chic and cool just because she was. She walked, she breathed air, therefore she was stylish.

I read somewhere that between her and John, they were given so many free things from designers that they didn't have room for it all and they would give it away to their coworkers, friends and family or anyone who wanted it. Can you imagine having so many $2,000 suits or dresses or whatever that you give them away? Why didn't they sell them on ebay? Sure, they never needed money but money is money!

Looking at these pictures makes me so sad. I miss them a lot. They brought so much class to the world. I can only imagine what they would be like now; still gorgeous; probably have kids. Its a shame they died too young.
