26 year old Carri Mundane is Cassette Playa. Mundane has worked with M.I.A, the British female rapper nearly banned from America for thought crime and New Rave banner wavers the Klaxons. Both have been dressed by and had videos styled by Carri Mundane. She is also Contributing Fashion Editor of SuperSuper, i-D stylist / contributor and recently collaborated with Nicola Formichetti for Dazed & Confused. Cassette Playa Spring/Summer 2007 is a toxicolour uniform for hard boys battling real and virtual worlds....

erm...not really my thing. It's funny and individual but it seems a bit derivitive to me....Jeremy Scott is still at it...and BW--the one who started it all--is slowly moving away from this look. Then you got Kim Jones and Henrik Vibskov on top of those designers. It's getting a little bit redundant now.

One of the hits of MAN, the menswear group show, a partnership between TOPMAN and FASHION EAST was Carri Mundane's cartoon couture and subverted sport n streetwear for club kids, playas, ravers, sluts and geeks - Cassette Playa.

Sonic the Hedgehog was a guest on the Cassette Playa runway. Sega's video game icon Sonic the Hedgehog wears Carri Mundane's bleeding eyeball print tee and pendant.
