Before she left for the US, Catherine tried for a career in music in the UK, first singing on the single For All Time, released in 1992. This came from the concept album Jeff Wayne's Musical Version of Spartacus.

Wow I didn't know she almost had a music career. But I can see why it never panned out, there is something off about those songs and her singing. It's like she's singing in a musical but the music is trying to be half pop half theatrical. Weird. She's much better as an actress.

She has got a decent voice and is a born performer, but none of those songs was really right for her. She did a studio performance around that time for some TV show that I'm trying to track down, I remember being spellbound by her beauty, though probably when I find it, she'll now appear totally ungroomed in comparison to her superstar self.
