they wrote it up as "inspired by the clandestine, best selling bag of ss-06". so.. they knew they did well on the clandy but decided to remake it like this??

They used the three pockets on the tote... why not do it in leather???
It suited the classic clasp style so well, don't know what they are thinking.. unless they will have more in leather for the fall/winter season?

There are three clandestines on ebay right now that do look authentic but they are all ending soon... one is the larger size in tea that looks very nice.

Greendrv, the US boutiques won't be including the Clandestine bags in their seasonal sales at all, so your best bet would be a charge-send from an overseas store or hope that someone puts a bag up on eBay. I know there was one of the long version in cream calfskin going for a BIN price of about $1500 which was definitely authentic.

I started carrying my large Clandy around recently and it's really an understated but well-made bag.
It's not overexposed but yet at the same time I love the fact that people compliment me on my bag but still can't quite fathom where it's from

That's a great price considering the Chloe boutiques won't be putting the Clandy on sale --- the seller is a member, it's authentic!! I would still love to find this size in the Blush/pale pink.

This is good to know, PrincessImp. Mine has been hibernating for our winter, and has not come out yet. I am looking forward to the "still can't quite fathom where it's from" sort of looks!

You know, I carried mine around the entire month of March and then stuck it in the closet, where it's spent most of the summer "hibernating," as amp88 puts it. I took it out with me to dinner this weekend and, on the way there, bemoaned the fact that the suitcase size was never made. I've been tempted to pick up one of the replicas just to "have" the bag, but I'm holding out hope that it might make a reappearance in the S/S 07 season.

The luggage shade up on NM.com in the regular size with the front pocket. The colour looks more orangey than earlier but it is most likely MN has the shading a little off.
