Dear Keya,
The belt retailed for over a thousand dollars. I think retail for this belt was around $1200-$1500. The earrings I think retailed for $350.

Hope this helped!

Whee, that's a bit stiff for a belt with plastic charms
What material is it made of?
It's very pretty, though, but not exactly within my price range.:flower:

I'm actually looking for similar Chanel pearls and just got off the phone w/the 800 #

The style that Mary Kate has on is approximatley 3,000.

They had another cheaper style for 695 which I may be interested but they don't have them on order in my local boutique.

Are FAUX pearls worth it eventhough its Chanel?

^not really :ninja:
I guess part of the reason why I'd have a hard time spending 1k on a piece made with plastic is because I used to work at an accessory store for a while when I was younger. We'd sell stuff like that for $20, and it boggles my mind that the it could be worth 50 times more just because of a brand name :ninja:

$695 would've been okay for the one MK is wearing, though, but if that's 3K then I donno about the other one. :ninja:

I love this range! So cute! I wanted the charm bracelet with the pink bus, perfume bottle, eiffel tower, pearls, etc. on it but couldn't justify the $3000 price tag when i could buy a bag instead  Think i might get the earings though.

I know exactly what you mean. If it was real pearls/gold, etc. then i wouldn't have a problem with the price, but to be paying thousands for faux pearls and costume jewellery, it feels so wrong!

The new Spring accessories are on Chanel.com now! Some lovely things.

Absolutely not! There isn't one faux pearl necklace on the planet that is worth $3,000! Chanel costume jewelry is definitely not worth the high price tag as you can buy real for the same price or close to it.

I also love the Ginza jewellery!

I also think it's absurd paying so much for the plastic jewellery posted a few pages back.

^ Yes, Chanel is definitely overpriced..way, way overpriced! Especially for a bunch of plastic. I absolutely love them though, and they really make me happy.

You don't have to pay retail..I very rarely pay retail..I always wait for the sales or go to designer resales or ebay powersellers. I can't justify spending that much money for plastic either...

my SA at Chanel told me that Chanel costume jewelry is "very expensive"-translation: overpriced. She suggested paying a little more to get Chanel fine jewelry. I guess that it is still overpriced, but less so.

If you get it off ebay, how do you know for sure if its authentic?
Do you have any favourite sellers that you know you can trust?

I agree that MKs necklace is absolutely stunning, as is the pieces posted earlier in this thread, but there is just something that feels wrong about paying that much for costume jewelery.

Oh Candice, when I posted this afternoon about the plastic jewellery, I didn't realise they were yours! Now that I'm more sober, and I went back to look, I saw those pictures belong to you.

I don't mean to offend. I guess absurd was too strong a word. Let me rephrase. I just couldn't bring myself to spend a lot of money on the plastic, but I also just realised the belt has leather interwined. Not to mention it also has to do with my current state of broke-ness.

I would commit murder to have the earrings Kim Cattrall is wearing in this shot. Chanel, right? These are from WAY back, I know. I love them.

I LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE Chanel accessories. I have this old chanel belt from a few years ago that I wrap around as a necklace, the only problem is I can't seem to find it!

yea, it's from cruise line and I have seen it at both NM and the boutique, I have seen black, white and dark green. It is expensive though, like $695 or something like that. But the quantity is very limited (like South coast plaza chanel only had one in white I think), so good luck in your search!

I don't know what's gayer, his pose or the fact he's wearing that thing as a belt
