Here are some interesting examples of jewelry from the 80s. Good jewelry from the 80s was often characterized by bold shapes, neo-Art Deco designs, minimalism, and industrialism. Bad 80s jewelry looks like it's from Dynasty! I hope others have similar items to share.
Industrial aluminum & diamond bangle, late 80s.
Brooch (the pieces can be moved around to make different shapes); silver, gold, and ebony; Lorelei Hamm, New York City, 1986
Handmade earrings, chrome, early to mid-80s
Memphis style brooch, steel and plastic, mid-1980s
Brooch, chrome-plated metal & enamel, Marion Sampler (LA graphic designer), mid-1980s
Brooch, chrome-plated metal & enamel, Gerard Taylor (Memphis Group) for Acme, 1986
Earrings, aluminum, Memphis Style, mid-1980s
Brooch, base metals with clock face fragment, Thomas Mann, New Orleans, 1980s
