Does anyone own any Chanel costume jewelry? I think it is all so cute. I thought I would start a thread just about Chanel costume jewelry.

Did you all know that Chanel popularized costume jewelry? She thought it allowed you to accessorize any outfit affordably, as real gems cost a fortune and no one had enough to accessorize all their outfits.

It's still cheaper then real gems. It's about $200-1000 a piece. $250-300 for rings, broaches, pendants etc. I think it was about $1000 for a pearl necklace with lots of charms.

I got this one, a few weeks ago, and i love it!

It goes well with the nautical I am sporting as the cord is made of kind of rope, and the C's are this matte bronz-y gold.

I love the big CC earings with rhinestones- the ones Lil Kim wore and just about everone in the hip hop industry...
they are so pretty!

^^ yeah the only probalem was there were so many knock offs of them people would just asume they were fake.

I know what you mean tia, I was so close to making the ebay purchase but I had to back out- they are so bling that people are gonna assume its fake...

so sad that people who buy fakes just asume everyone else does. My friend has a louis vuitton luggage set and she got very upset cos no1 thort it was real. i did cos i was with her and her mum when they orderd it but still ....

Why, thank you, we should go shopping in London, we seem to like much of te same stuffB) But if you also is the same size as me THEN it can be a problem.

i think it looks SO good with navy, or a more classy outfit.

I bought it at Chanel on Sloane St. For around £150.
