Ugly, ugly dress at the Oscars. There was nothing special about it at all. I do like her hair and makeup at the event before but I do not like the pants suit.

If that gown had been tailored properly, I don't think she would have looked too bad. Boring but not bad. But all I focus on is how badly the top half of the gown is. That semi-fitted waist is completely ruined by all the extra fabric drooping and bunching up.

I disagree. If it had been made of a different material and actually tailored, it could have worked. Joan Allen wore a turtleneck style gown to the Oscars a few years back and it was smashing. But the way this gown was modified for the red carpet here, it just looks too casual.

I love the runway version of the gown. It just shimmers. If it had been tailored, lined, and maybe a red colour, I think Charlene would have worn it exceptionally well.

There was nothing good about the Arkis dress at the Oscars, it looked bad on the runway and it looks bad on the red carpet. There was nothing glamorous about it which is what the Oscars are all about.

Although I don't like Charlene copying Princess Grace in any way because she could never come close to that type of beauty or glamour, I wouldn't have had a problem with her wearing either the same color or type of gown that Grace wore when she accepted her Oscar. It would have been much better than this disaster.
