Hello All,
This is my first post on the forum, even though I've been visiting daily for the last, oh, 3 months or so. I love Charlotte's jeans in the photos above and I saw a similar pair in Anthropologie over the weekend. I tried a pair on and they are very flattering! Needless to say I bought them.

Her hair suit her so well long, she looks a bit like her mom..
Even though flairs are not for me, the jeans are real cute, i can see why you like them. They could easily be anthropologie

thank you newprincesita and lena. i'm not a twiggy shape though- i'm 5'7" and i wear size 27 or 28 jeans. the cut of the jeans is straight leg but they do fall with a slight flare on me, but much less than on the mannequin. it reminds me of the jeans that chrissy and janet wore on three's company. the jeans give a nice shape to the hips. it's definitely a more womanly silhouette than the designer jeans we've seen seeing for the last few years.

i love charlotte's style. i have a black trench but now i'm on the hunt for a khaki one like hers.

For me, she personalizes the "French chic". I mean she has that "je ne sais pas quoi"... because, as you said, she is not the typical beauty. But she is a very interesting woman.

I love Jane Eyre. I loved the book (read it many times) and loved the movie (saw it many times ). I didn't know who the actress was when I first saw it and I though she was perfect for the part because in the book, Jane is pictured as unattractive girl, but because she is so good and suffered so much during her life you end up "seeing" her inner beauty as an outer beauty and the make up job in Charlotte was amazing because even though they made her look so frail and unattractive in the beginning, you end up seeing her real beauty through out the movie. I don't know if it was intentional, or not, but that's how I saw it.

Too bad that they don't do them anymore...but then, whole point of vintage is that they don't do them anymore, so if we look around vintage Levis dealers maybe we will have some luck!

The best "fashion icons" always have one or two signature pieces that they wear all the time-whether it be a coat, a specific hairstyle, black pants, etc... I love that Charlotte's is that Burberry trench. I love that she wears it with everything from jeans to formal dresses.

I turned my house upside down looking for that very same trench that I got as a gift from my mom 15 years ago. It's perfectly aged and rumpled. Everytime I wear it, I feel like Charlotte. And sometimes I feel like her dad, Serge.
