Ooooooooo my god. People, I just want to say I was only commenting on the braids (it's no biggie, the same as the rest of the things we all say in this thread) in my opinion braids are chavvy and there's NEVER an excuse for wearing them. And my idea of playing with fashion is definitely not wearing braids.

I liked the dress sort of, the shoes were killer and the hair definitely wasn't my cup of tea. But it's just my opinion, doesn't mean I'm right. When I was just reading my comments and some peoples reactions, it looks like I've set out to upset people and I really haven't It's just my opinion!!!

I have to say, I don't like tight braids in general - it makes the person look like they've got thinning hair, and unless they have a lovely skin tone all over their head, there's usually a disparity between the colour of their face and the colour of their scalp. A looser braid is much more flattering for most people.

But I figure that Cheryl's braids were part of the overall plan to give her a different hairstyle each time she steps out in public (even if it's out a back door). People are expecting something new every time they see her.

Yeah, she looks stunning tonight. I love her hair. Dannii's hair looks a bit odd for me; a bit off with the headband. And the locket looks kind of lost in that dress, I wish she'd worn more of a statement jewelry with the white dress minus the headband and the long earrings replaced with studs maybe or something gentler.

I understand that this is a style forum but I really don't understand the biggie with the braids. She didn't braid her hair for a red carpet event; it was to go mentor her acts for a few hours. She says herself that although she likes fashion and likes to play with fashion, she doesn't consider herself a "style icon" like the media has hyped her to be. So I really don't see the big deal at all.

I was referring to the "chav" comments; something along the lines of how she's regressed back to her old style. Thr braids are really not that big of a problem and we haven't seen a lot of them lately so, just wanted to point out. I know I put my hair in braids when I don't want them in my way; its hardly a fashion faux pas.
