LolaSvelt: I understand that each person has their own definition of what 'sexy' means. Maybe to you it means to have a sense of classiness, elegance and style. While for others it may mean somone who is relatable, who has had success the respective year of the award, and someone who is beautiful inside out.

Plus these awards are given to those who've had a successful year in terms of career etc. and Cheryl has had an incredible 2009. Winning X Factor, launching a successful solo career, having her own one off show, plus being the covergirl of so many magazines etc. So all I'm trying to say is while people may disagree with what consists of being sexy and who fully epitomizes that, Cheryl comes as close as anyone and does in the eyes of many, deserve this.

Thanks hun. I hate to sound like a complete stan in this thread but wow, the girl seriously can't do anything right it seems like in here! It's definitely the most negative thread I'm subscribed to.

I think Cheryl can do a lot right, but she can also do a lot wrong. There were literally months on this thread when she couldn't put a foot wrong (check if you don't believe me), now from time to time people (i.e myself sometimes) are quite harsh yet honest about Cheryl. It's only peoples opinions, don't get me wrong I love Cheryl. I really do, but sometimes in my opinion she makes errors in fashion or is given titles she doesn't deserve and people just say what they think.

In my opinion she doesn't deserve to be credited with sexiest woman etc, but in other peoples opinions she does. That's just the way it goes. I just don't understand sometimes why these discussions sometimes turn into mini arguments, it really puts me off voicing my opinion in this thread.

No, she really doesn't get a pass at all. The only reason there were "literally months" where no one said anything bad against her was because there weren't a lot of people in this thread in the very very beginning. I understand people who don't like what she wears or whatever and I agree with them sometimes because her choices can be "tacky" or just wrong in general. But people villify her more for that one mistake than they would to other celebrities because I guess they feel that she gets a free pass all the time.

People are welcome to share their opinions but when its the same people saying the same negative stuff over and over again, it does feel like they're just slagging her off for the hell of it, whether intended or not. For example, this discussion about the sexiest woman. In my opinion, Cheryl is. And its okay that other people don't agree. However, to make it sound like she can't even be a contender because of this and that is ridiculous. And I guess thats where it gets a little sticky for me.

And of course there's going to be an argument when people don't agree on stuff---its a forum afterall!

i agree. she must be doing something right for people to be talking about her this much even with the negative statements. I love this girl and i am happy for her success. she deserves it and i hope she is even bigger in 2010.

She inspires a lot of people with her work and personality indeed, but when it comes to her style, she very rarely gets it right. Also, physical attractiveness is a very subjective thing, so I don't see the point in arguing about it.

I'm often quite negative about her at the moment, but that's because I can't see a lot of positive things to talk about, her style was so questionable in X factor and I just didn't agree with the sexiest woman award either. I'm definitely not slagging her off for the hell of it. I just call it as I personally see it.

And as sunn19 has said 'physical attractiveness is a very subjective thing' so discussing it is a tad pointless, as we just go round in circles. Getting off the subject of this sexiest woman award etc, does anyone know which is the next single to be released off her album?

I'd imagine the next single is Parachute. It would seem logical, with her having performed it on her show anyway, and well, with it being perhaps the best one on the album..

I loved Parachute. And Stand Up too! Both very fun songs....unlike 3 Words....which has grown a little bit but not thaaaaaat much!

I really like 3 words, but I just felt it was a bad choice of song to release.

I actually can't wait to see the video for Parachute I wonder if it will bear any resemblance to her performance on her own show?

That performance was really suprising. I would have never guesses that she would have gone thart direction with the song.
