Chloé Pre-Fall 2022 Paris

Whew child. Making the models look like stumps, frumps and dumpy.

Gabriela Hearst can't design a single pair of trousers that would have a proper fit. Hence, all the suits here, and they are literally the same silhouette, look really frumpy. The only look I like is the 8th one as it looks like something Clare Waight Keller would have designed. The rest is just too lifeless and joyless, especially the knitted camel look.

I hope restore Edith's bag is sign about the clothes weak sell. I never understand people which decided be fashion designer and they don't want gain to knowledge about tailoring. Her obsession with poncho style looks like student project when teacher determine topic of project, but pupils are unable to mix with different style or technics.

Read through the Vogue review / interview of the collection and am struck by how 90% of the talking points are statistics about environmental impact and materials. While that's nice, at the end of the day no one wants to buy a depressing and poorly designed collection regardless of how "nice" it is for the planet. It also comes across very preach-y and clinical --- where's the fun and imagination?

.. and honestly what's up with the lack of legs in all of her collections lol. I know I keep asking it in every Chloé thread like a miserable troll haha but I always thought that easiness was one of Chloé's signatures and the reason why it used to be so appealing to every woman, sort of like a girl's girl type of label, not talking about a full emphasis on "mini" anything, just.. a healthy shorter length that frees you.. nothing you're pulling down all day long, let alone stuff like this abominable coffin skirt. So.. yeah, color me intrigued. Wouldn't it be more fabric therefore more environmental damage? or is it allyship ("acknowledge your lEg pRiViLeGe and start showing solidarity with the amputee community!"). Let us know, Gabriela..

she talks about sustainability...well lady, create something meaningful not some waste for the planet. Like seriously, her way wasn't work so now she's doing Phoebe. I mean even accessories are not good. And I thought they were hiring her for the long-waiting list bags. :D

One of the worst designers of helming a parisian houses in fashion history! On a side note, this collection is like what Proenza Schouler is past its prime.

The new bags she brought to the house are not trending that much, right?

Let's see if Richemont still needs her to green-wash. They are focusing on their fashion departments more than ever now because jewelly and watch department is doing quite good.
