Chloe F/W 07.08 Paris

I just discovered that this collection was HUGELY neglected in magazines. I don't think I saw one Chloe piece in the ENTIRE US Vogue September issue. It's obvious disdain for the new Chloe on behalf of Anna Wintour.

That is not a good thing for Paulo - he has one chance to redeem himself -Spring 08. After that, he wil probably get the boot.

ps. I saw one Chloe piece in Vogue Italia...in the REHAB issue!

^ Interesting!

British Vogue have featured it quite a lot, in both August's trend supplement and September's International Collections issue; especially the Doc Marten-style boots and bags.

The trend supplement is sponsored by Kurt Geiger (who sell Chloe footwear) and there was a five-page Chloe advertising feature in the IC issue, though, so that may have something to do with it. :D

i think i saw the chloe simple orange dress in an ad for a department shop selling luxury items here too. i think there was also one of the 'hand-drawn' printed dresses
it makes me think, his designs are quite strong--they're noticeable if you're a fan of chloe :p

does anyone know where I can find these boots? I've been looking everywhere on the internet and we don't have a Chloe shop here in Holland.

We're like one season further and I'm still searching for those boots, but hey officially it's still summer here. :D

Chloe is opening in KL this November at Pavilion KL. Sure hits include the bags and F/W07 ready-to-wear collection.

please post credits when you upload.

If Chloe in New York City will ship to you, they have them in stock now.

Perhaps I would like this more if it wasn't Chloe. Some of this is interesting but where is the brand idenity? Even with all the designer switches at Chloe there was always something fun, functional and girly about each collection. There was always a stand out pair of shoes and a really of the moment bag to get excited about, something inimitably Chloe that connected the entire endeavor. You looked at a Chloe piece and you knew it was Chloe. I look at this and I think "well thats Marni pattern and a Marc Jacobs-esque shoe" I don't feel anything is overtly original or even particularly appealing. It all seems a bit forced. It just doesn't have the energy and spirit of Chloe.

When they were in the midst of their design shuffle I really felt that Chloe would be best served by a female designer. I stand by that assessment. And I agree that none of this really seems particularly suited to F/W either...

Oh Phoebe, how I miss you.

And who on earth is designing bags/shoes at Chloe right now? Accessories are their cash cow at Chloe and I cannot see most of these bags / shoes selling. Dare I say it the bags look a little Fendi esque...

And that is not a compliment.

Oh my god you said everything I was thinking

Im sorry to disturb your moment here. But actually it HAS featured in US Vogue

A lot of interviews with paulo and also editorials

And the week after the show, US Vogue was in the studio to do the interviews btw.

And he won't get the boot, because the last collection has been sold really well. It's so weird and naive to think a head designer can be booted if YOU don't like his collection lol.

And if u really think that just because u couldnt find it in the "september-issue" will mean that the headdesigner gets a final chance or he will get booted, i suggest u apply for an internship anywhere in the (real) world to understand that it really doesn't work that way.

Chloé was btw all over purple fashion, covers of french vogue, etc.
Do your homework if u wanna start bashing.....

Though its nice to build up the tension for the new show :/

How can you say "one season further"? The shoes aren't even in stores yet :/

And there are a few shops in Holland that carry Chloé, maybe you can check online (google???)

I know Kiki Niesten in Maastricht carries Chloé.

The person on earth who is designing the bags is the same designer as there has been for a while.

Shoes same.

^ Yes, but Paulo has been accredited with 'stripping back the hardware' on the A/W bags, so he obviously has had a lot of input in accessories; just as Phoebe did while she was there (and most Creative Directors do).

This has to be the case, as otherwise the accessories wouldn't work with the clothing.

Of course they work with the same concept.

But Paulo's influence on the bags and shoes is more saying in what direction he wants it to go.

And of course, Paulo is gonna get accredited for everything that comes out of Chloé.

^ I appreciate your point, but the article I read specifically said that Paulo was personally responsible for the decision to strip back the hardware.

Do you work for Chloe? If so, perhaps you know that the article was wrong (I'm sure it wouldn't be the first time!)?

BTW, I'm not saying that he designed the bags from beginning to end; just that he has, reportedly, had a lot of influence in the way they turned out (as I think can be seen in some of their Marni-ish looks).

thanks scotty!
whoever shot this video ought to be shot, whats with the fast focus on the faces and not showing the clothes?!

the clothes remain relevant til today although personally I am reminded of how Paolo revolutionises Chloe including the bags, good and bad yes, at least there is a consistency throughout the show, i prefer hannah*s version though.

but Claire Wright Keller is the worst of all Chloe designers til date, she should pack up and go back to Pringle, her aesthetics are more suitable there.
