i was thinking about how pretty this was the detailing and everything - but something struck me: it actually looks like the wet hair of a goldenretriever like dog

style

 I can see what you mean!

It is a "nice" collections. I find it quite interesting.. I think it's something I'd like to see in person.

As someone who used to work for Chloe I have to say I have mixed opinions about this collection.
On one hand I am glad Phoebe decided to take a different direction as the collections were starting to look like overpriced vintage market finds (this winter's collection was so sickly) but on the other hand I am so disappointed with this new collection, I so wanted to like it but most of it is just vile. Does Phoebe Philo think women want to look like old ladies?
There are one or two looks I like towards the end but there is nothing appealing about those tents the models are wearing!

Chloe Edith

I am seriously considering pre-ordering the bag on the left, the Edith. What do you all think?????

I consider all these my favs. But, the problem is I don't think I would actually wear all of them :innocent:.

morriseel - congrats! :flower: did you get a price for the edith? I'm still waiting for more pics of the taupe before I decide..

about $1200 usd by my conversion. Might be more for me in Singapore..they tend to be more $$.

interesting but weird

This collection is interesting but very weird and maternity wear like and sort of humourous this is not going to sell. BUT I agree she had to move on from the boho chic look which has become insanely popular but intead of moving in this direction sort of baby goth look she should have gone for say
valley girl look or studio 54 disco wear look or late 70s early 80s glamazon ( a suggestion ) would have been entertaining too see and I bet designers are already looking at these influences as they havent been revived in a while now.

I know many don't like the new collection, maybe cause it's a bit safe...(?) but I think it's great, it's wearable, lose fitting, girly, basicly perfect for summer... the accessories are the best part

I really like this collection. It's not by any means groundbreaking. It feels like a synthesis between Jil Sander and Stefano Pilati, Pilati more in the use of exaggerated porportions. She's really pushing the babydoll dress which I am partial to because I am using that shape for dance costumes I am designing. It's a fun shape and I think she uses it really well. I see a lot of wearable and fun clothes that will translate well when it hits stores. I was able to see chloe customers in action at a department store in Atlanta and it was interesting how Philo's concepts translate to customers and there didn't seem to be much miscommunication. Women literally snatched it off the racks as if a female cockney accented voice in their heads commanded them.
