i got these in the black ankle tie wedge and the white mary jane wedge from ebay powersellers - in a size 36, im usually a 36 or at largest 36.5 in marc jacobs shoes, do you think they'll fit? im a bit nervous that i should have gotten the 35 in the ankle ties, because i think they'd look terrible with too much room at the back!
I went to Berdorf but they didn't have any of the Mary Janes wedges left and now my size is sold out online (but I really wanted to try them on in person before anyway). Now I guess I will see if I can get them on ebay (where they are much more expensive though so I really don't want to support these sellers making that much of a profit). If anyone of you saw them somewhere around NY, please let me know.
Wild Diva's come out with a Chloe wedge copy. They don't look half bad and at around $40, they're a lot cheaper than the Chloes. Doesn't say what they're made of, probably vinyl, I guess. Pics from ebay.
>> The new Chloe shoes for fall are high... perhaps even higher than those for spring. They're so high, in fact, that Stam fell on the runway earlier today. Now we all know that models have fallen on the runway before, and they will fall again, but these are girls who are used to walking in 4-inch, 5-inch, maybe even more-inch heels -- it's part of their job description. Not sure it bodes well for the rest of the population.
I haven't seen that style before so I can't tell you if those are fake. Chloe shoes are faked. I've seen the boots, paddington ballerina and mocc's all faked with the CHloe name.
I have never seen that style anywhere either. I was wondering if they really made it. Where did you get the pic from? There all sorts of fake Chloe shoes out there so you have to be careful but I don'tr think there are fake platform wedges yet.
Well i got the pic from ebay (surprise), and the seller says the shoes come with a dustbag and original shoebox. But I really don´t trust anyone on ebay. They look like they could be real, but i havent seen that style anywhere either.
Yeah, it's so hard to trust anyone these days. Just because the shoes come with dustbag and box does not necessarily mean that they are authentic. Are you thinking about bidding on them? I would ask the seller prior to bidding where they were purchased, if they are authentic and in case it turned out there weren't if he would refund you the money. If he or she refuses to take them back they are probably fake.
did the original ankle strap platforms from spring come in two heights? I noticed that this season the patent slingback comes in two heights at intermix in ny
I'm in love with platforms, infact I just purchased those delicious wedge platforms with the tie on ebay. It was kinda a last minute thing I did without much thinking, there was only a few seconds left & I don't know yet if I can find something to go with them but I still can't wait to see what they look like irl.
thanks aspen, just got these bow platforms on sale in pewter (which are actually much lighter colored in real life). they are clunkier than I thought, compared to shoe no. 2 below.
I'm torn because I love love love these second mary janes, but a) they are even higher than the bow one from last season, b) they are even narrower at the base-- tried them on, and I was tottering!, and c) they are $738, which seems like alot. The patent slingback comes in a lower height, but I just bought patent platform shoes (not wedges) with wood soles from costume national last season, so redundancy would mean getting those!

I just saw the second pair on ebay a couple of days ago with a very low bin price of $250. I would have gotten them but the seller didn't want to ship to Europe and didn't accept paypal either I really like them but they might have been too high anyway.
emma,I tried the pair you talked about. I could barely walk in them. they are cute, but if you do'nt feel comfortable walking in them, they are not going to be used often. Maybe go with the third pair? (I believe Softgrey has them and she loved them)
