Now we all know that models have fallen on the runway before, and they will fall again, but these are girls who are used to walking in 4-inch, 5-inch, maybe even more-inch heels -- it's part of their job description. I loved these shoes. But of course the version that's going to be sold is nowhere as high as at the show, so there's no point in buying them.

thanks caffeine, i think i'm sticking with the pewter bow ones because they have the most surface area on the sole and therefore I will not be twisting my ankle every step! those black ankle strap ones are sooooo high, with this little tiny zone to walk on!!

I'm in love with platforms, infact I just purchased those delicious wedge platforms with the tie on ebay. It was kinda a last minute thing I did without much thinking, there was only a few seconds left & I don't know yet if I can find something to go with them but I still can't wait to see what they look like irl.

what color did you get?? I was spying some on ebay too (the prices aren't bad). They've reached cult status, and I think they're a good piece to have in a designer collection. They definitley fill a niche.

I got them in the cream color, although in the pics they look a bit white. I'll post pics when I get them though.

thanks aspen, just got these bow platforms on sale in pewter (which are actually much lighter colored in real life). they are clunkier than I thought, compared to shoe no. 2 below.

I'm torn because I love love love these second mary janes, but a) they are even higher than the bow one from last season, b) they are even narrower at the base-- tried them on, and I was tottering!, and c) they are $738, which seems like alot. The patent slingback comes in a lower height, but I just bought patent platform shoes (not wedges) with wood soles from costume national last season, so redundancy would mean getting those!

If you really like that second pair of wedges with the ankle strap then you should look into the Juicy Couture Suede Mary Jane Wedges. They've still got the height & are cheaper. I paid $450 for mine, but their selling for about $300 now @ Neiman Marcus. haha, but I get so many compliments about them each time I wear 'em. I'm so glad wedges aren't going out of style anytime soon!!

yeah, I considered the juicy ones, but i'm keeping the chloe pewter bow tie ones-- they're growing on me + I got them half off. I've always had an ambivalence about suede, but the juicy ones are cool because the platform keeps you out of any possible puddles!

going to pick them up from the cobbler later today...

yep- that's what i did...

i wore them home from the cobbler to see how it was...
and it really helps...

but-the ones you got are MUCH higher than mine...
i don't think ...no, i KNOW...i couldn't do the higher ones!!..

i finally got the same ones softgrey got!
at first i went to the boutique here to buy them after i had tried them on once but they only had a small size in kid leather left..
so when they were up on netaporter i grabbed them

for me they are true to size but i also want some rubber on the soles wish we had cobblers like they do in NYC... everywhere and quick and good!!

I saw those this morning on nap and was thinking about ordering but I hesitated because I couldn't decide between the slingbacks and the ankle tie ones and now they are sold out in a size 38. I was wondering they if they would also fit me in a 37.5 since I'm in between sizes.
