Christian Dior Pre-Fall 2021 Paris

Girl please this polaroid look book is not the fantasy.

This collection is full of ridiculous propositions such as everything with "J' Paris" and while I get that MGC wanted to channel the cheeky spirit of Fiorucci, she clearly doesn't have that sense of humour. The rest, well, it's the same stuff she's been "designing" for the last few years. In my opinion the way of presenting the looks, here via polaroids, doesn't change anything because we've seen it all.

I like it. It's look like clothes you wear when you go to studio 54.

Just wish fashion houses would produce less logo pieces because personally I would not want to walk around looking advertising wall. But oh well this generation doesn't want to wear luxury clothes unless it's screaming the name to the brands.

Can I just say I hate this style of presentation LOL. Just show us what the buyers see, racks of clothing and accessories all out in a virtual showroom.

Anyways - back to the collection. She's the epitome of trying too hard - and I can't believe it's selling like hot cakes.

I mean if you really break it down, she's a practical designer so she designed practical clothes. So Bar jacket, A-line, embroidery tulle dresses, etc... Easy, pretty ready-to-wear clothes and her woman clients connected to that. You never feel weird or uncomfortable while wearing her clothes. Like Raf tenure at Dior I always heard people complaint about how his shoes is always uncomfortable.

I think she was hired to sell clothes so that what she do. That why I started to love her clothes because up close it's well designed and feel expensive and that what I want from a luxury house anyway. Unlike Balenciaga and Demna which I never understand how he has so much praised while his clothes right now look Salvation Army at best.

I think she more fit to be in an Italian house than Parisian one tbh.

AHAHAHAHAHAHAH!

dear Lord just show us the f*cking clothes! is there any other link where we can actually see it properly? or maybe not because:
leopard!
silver lamé! (or whatever the heck that metallic fabric is)!
blue leopard!
transparent pieces: is it lace is it fishnet? maybe it’s both!
red leopard!
random structured piece in orange with T-Rex’s (which is probably the only creative thing in the whole collection but MG DID NOT DESING IT BECAUSE IT’S IMPOSSIBLE!)
little hearts!
squared pattern!
polka dots!
WT* prints!
PVC fabric!
CD logo!

I AM GOING TO THROW UP.

someone stop her please. I’m begging!

Christian Dior, darling, I’m so very sorry...

I just can't with her anymore. Aimed for the Gen Z I see, with the tacky leopard prints, lamé, logos. Better presentation could have MAYBE save some parts of this trainwreck.

P.s. After years of reading all of your comments and checking out the latest bullsh*t, first comment here. Yay! Ciao!
