Will just casually drop Theyskens' name again. I really do think it's a fit.

It feels like the time of ressurrecting historied houses is a little passé.
Even such beautiful, beautiful names like Vionnet were not very successful.
I want to subscribe your words avonlea002 because you are so right.
And if have to make self-criticism, I dedicated last year more attention to unimportant things (who was heading to Chanel, how boring Maria Grazia can be) than to discover new designers.
And I want to change that for 2025!
I hate the name of his brand but he is a talent. His work reminds me so much of Alaïa/Gres.Patrick Stewart of Standing Ground, maybe?

He would be great at Vionnet.
If it wasn’t for the ugly brand name, he could have signed collections under his name.
I wish some execs were more like Diego Della Valle because they are missing on a talent like Patrick Stewart.
Everytime I see the Theyskens name throwing around at TFS(me did that too), I just cannot stop thinking how the public would react if he pulls out those Rochas/Ninna Ricci-like pieces on the runway/red carpet in the current state of fashion, will he be trumpeted/appreciated like the Schiaparelli guy who indeed is not even half good as him? Or will he be in the same situation of his old days? Sometimes I just feel that maybe with a bigger PR/marketing machine at major brand, it is impossible to make his talent unseen. Will just casually drop Theyskens' name again. But John has his own house.I hope Galliano will take over
Can you imagine all the magic we missed because he's worked for so many other people. But John has his own house.
I don’t get why people want so much to see him take over other people brands when his own can be revived…
