The who’s who of mothers and daughters made the difference at the launch of Tea Party Angels in New York on Saturday, November 7th. Christie Brinkley and her daughter Sailor, were on board as Honorary Angels to kick off the festivities. Christie’s son Jack even made a special appearance.

23-year-old singer Alexa Ray Joel, daugher or Billy Joel and Christy Brinkley, was rushed to the hospital after an overdose. Police are ruling the incident as a suicide attempt. Alexa’s roommate called 911 and paramedics were dispatched to her Manhattan home around 12:21 p.m. Saturday, according to the NY Post.

Christie Brinkleyand Billy Joel are both extremely upset over allegations made about their daughter Alexa Ray Joel that after a “dysfunctional family getaway with her mom” she attempted to take her own life.
“Every parent can imagine the pain and anguish we face as parents of a daughter who is working to recover from the dangerous actions she took while suffering a devastating heartbreak,” Christie and Billy told Extra in a joint statement.
They said they felt they “must set the record straight to protect our family,” even though they both say they “hate dignifying tabloid stories with a response.”
The reports claimed that Alexa has “knock-down, drag-out fights” with Christie about her relationship with Billy.
Their statement said that the story was “filled with vicious lies and attempts to smear our character and that of our beloved daughter.”
