I my self use them, it's ugly enough to smoke, why not add a little class to it
I think that cigarette holders are classical and allways remind me of the early 1900's to the 50's

 my cigarette holders, they are the short type, very typical and plain.. should take a picture

I have short ones too and tend to use them more often than the long ones because I find the long ones are too extravagant for most occasions.

One's like these.

Mhm, I do the same thing with cigarette case as wallet... I don't smoke but have long been indoctrinated into smoking as stylish. You get to wildly gesticulate, casually observe, tote rhinestone encrusted holders...? Plus, credit cards and id fit so handily inside 'em.

rhiannonmars -- you're from SF? The haight is dripping with cigarette cases and occasionally holders. Ambiance has a counter of 'em. Some are a little cheap looking, but there was a variety to choose from last i was there. ^^

A little late, but yes. I am from SF. I have been to Ambiance in the past. I acutally have not visited Haight in years! To many druggies for me usally! hehe.

My friend moved to Washington and were not in touch much anymore. Otherwise I would send her there. We were quite the 1920's dames in our teen years!

I'm a very occasional smoker and packs usually get torn apart in my purse before I can smoke a third of them, sending tobacco bits everywhere (shame..) I must invest in one of these... Wondering why the idea of one didn't dawn on me before. Perhaps because each pack I replace is my very 'last'...

Does anyone know places online to find nice ones? I've been searching eBay and it's quite a task wading through 3,000 results.

bettyboop i had one exactly like the fourth on your last post.. its was a 20's piece, lost it years ago.. unfortunately didnt hold much tar

i think i'll go back to using my cigarette holders,
this thread inspired me :ninja:

as anti-smoking as I am, I must admit that cigarette holders are rather chic!

Sometimes I think they looks chic...but sometimes I must admit that I think they can look pretentious and silly. I guess it depends on the environment.

I agree Morgan - they suit an older woman with a headscarf very well!! but think I'd look pretttyyy silly with one  :D

Cigarette holders only suit certain people lest they come off as something terribly costume-y or affected.

However, I think they are great.

I own a 19th century French mother of pearl holder, and an Asprey cigarette case in sterling & gold.

gosh damn Herbal cigarettes?! Will these hurt your lungs? If they're "safe" I think I might just start smoking again lol. I was never addicted to the nicotine anyways. What do they taste like versacegoddess?

I think a woman who smoke with a cigarette holder is really glam....
