^She looks pretty much the same then as she does now. Impressive considering that was 15 years ago!

Wow that HR close up is stunning! The old Vogue scans are great too, thanks for posting!

Here are a few more shots from the event last night (dailymail and monsters&critics)

I'm not sure how I feel about this dress. My first instinct was "no" but looking at it more, I'm starting to like it.

I actually love the dress. The colours are pretty and the white shoes balance it.

LOVE it! :D So gorgeous. Great colour, and the neckline is gorge. If I'm going to nitpick, the makeup wasn't great...espicially the eyes.

Now for some shots of that gorgeous hubby of hers...

Love the red lace through not crazy about the neckline but the back view is gorg.

The neckline is ok, and the colour looks great on her, but the belt just doesn't fit. Who designed this?

It's from Givenchy's Fall 2014 collection:

I almost wish she wore the black, but the red is probably more seasonally appropriate.

definitely prefer the black version of the dress. the back is gorgeous and i do like the high neckline too. but her eye makeup is harsh-looking and the lips a little too matchy - one of those needed toning down.

@Not Plain Jane: She's filming Homeland at the moment (I think she just came back to the states for the Emmys) so she's got her "Carrie" hair.

I love the dress and the color. I agree that I might have done the make up differently but I like this look overall.

She was the best dressed for me last night. I love the color, the back is very sexy and it's overall quite an unexpected aesthetic for her. The makeup would've worked more if the dress was black ( it would've been gorgeous and very dramatic). But since the red carpet was pretty early I think red is much better.

The dress in red is gorgeous, the back was stunning! Definitely prefer it over the black, although that's gorgeous too. Wasn't too fond of the necklace or her hair and makeup though.

I don't like the hair either, but in her defense when they showed her getting out of the limo it looked like her hair completely fell out. She and Hugh were pinning it back up, it was adorable. I would have chosen either the embellishment at the neckline OR the detail at the waist, I think the dress was a little busy. That said, she still looked gorgeous!
