i started reading her biography today, very interesting. so far im only the part of her early career. she sure did had an awful childhood and awful parents.

im really intrigued and want to watch 'it'. such a shame it is hard to find a place that rent it.

ps. i also love her brooklyn accent and voice. i thought it would be quite pitchey and annoying but thank goodness it was not.

^i love this photo too. do you know when it was taken? but is it really clara?...

i just finished reading her bio. indeed a fascinating book and fascinating woman. though a lot of her adult miseries were caused by herself, she was plagued with inherited mental illness since birth and raised by a schizophrenic mother and sexually abusive father.
now im even more intrigued to watch her movies. watching clips of her on youtube you can totally see why she was the it girl. she was so animated

I also fiinished reading her bio by David Stenn. Good book. I found it interesting that "In Berlin, a starstruck Adolf Hitler presented her with a signed copy of "Mein Kampf", "FOR MY ESTEEMED FRIEND CLARA" he wrote "WITH THE WISH SHE DERIVES THE SAME PLEASURE READING THIS BOOK AS I DID WRITING IT, ADOLF" About Berlin, she wrote in her diary "Madness!" Best thing about Berlin- the Zoo.bride.jpg Source: Book - Clara Bow Runnin' Wild by David Stenn- Doubleday - 1988
