Ehh they're okay. I'm not in love with every single one of them. I like the D&G one paired with the jacket...the simple jacket kind of balances it out and makes it wearable.

i noticed this as well..
good trendspotting saann..

i can't say i'm really digging the idea though :ermm:
or the execution for that matter..

i actually like some of the etro, and i'm into things with a bit of quirkiness but a lot of this sort of thing just tends to be too loud or messy-looking imo..

kind of a boho/hippie, patchwork, homemade thing that looks too "earthy" for me, if that makes sense...

I second that. I really like it at Etro as well.
Maybe because it reminds me quite a bit of Balenciaga :innocent:

Most of the rest though, does look a bit too boho/hippie-ish for my liking. It's too 'fluffy' and all over the place..

wow, this seems to be a really big trend!
so far i like what dries did best

To be honest, am liking this trend.

Most of the dresses don't look good though. I like the D&G dress (2nd from last, in the 1st post), the first Oscar de la renta dress, and the first three etro dresses.

^_^

lots of this at dries...will post later if someone doesnt get to it first :flower:..

ok..here comes dries..
i think he does it so so well..
the entire collection is clashing patterns..
so i'll just post a few that i think are great..

Wow! Overall I like it! I was ready to come on here, get annoyed and then rant about what a load of crap it looks :P

when done well, this is one of my favourite recurring themes.
at dries

like here, at Comme des Garcons, I think the trend works best when all the busyness is toned down with some black or a block colour

^i agree strawb...
throwing a block of solid color in there really helps to tone down the madness..

dries' collection was almost, if not all clashing patterns..
i think he did it well
but my eye could also be getting used to it :p
