so..who's going?..it's a huge festival and the lineup is so-so.. I said I wouldnt go but I've been brainwashed by my friends .

it'd be awesome if we could arrange a mini-meet-up or something ...or maybe not

its over my birthday weekend.....

i cannot 'do' coachella.....the weather is usually too severe for me.

unless i get super vip/backstage or anywhere with an air conditioner

maybe i will just wait at the hotel....haha

i wouldnt mind seeing gang of four and new order

Tickets go on sale this saturday at noon.

1 day pass will be $80 each + 1 for charity.
and 2 day passes will be 150 plus $ 2 for charity.


oh, and the dumpsters will be pretty interesting for TFS goers i thinkB)

it was probably for lack of water and a cap..and a shelter!..I remember having some kind of blackout when the pixies were playing 'where is my mind' ..memorable.

oh, gang of four should be greeat. if you decide to go..join the meet-up

I dont know.. the cons list is largers than the pro one..the schedules are so annoying, you have 2 great bands playing at the same time so you have to reach one song and then run to hear the other band..and losing your front row or 20th row! ..and the sound is not that good..I remember being so annoyed when radiohead was playing because there was this band on the second stage doing some semi-electronic noise

and the people, food and toilets..

Gang of Four? New Order? I did not know these bands were still playing??? Thats cool Wolf Eyes, Swayzak and Matthew Dear are playing...go Detroit!!! I would prefer to see all these artists in a small, dive bar please...fesitvals have no intamacy.

i think it'd be a lot of fun, me and my friends might be renting a hotel room since it seems cheaper and just more comfortable than camping..everyone (TFSers) could crash there once the fest is over

i am 99% sure i am going...i went to the first one and missed the last couple...although Coldplay as a headliner... not really feeling that one

I missed out on the last couple of years, but I've always gone since it started in 1999. I'm definitely going this year! I'm quite new to this forum, but I agree that it would be interesting to see some of what's in the melting pot here in another melting pot scene. B)

I agree. Last years lineup was ultimate. I wasn't done w/classes yet...if I remember correctly...I almost died when they announced the Pixies were playing it. Good thing they went on tour!

You know what though I would like to go this year cuz I would want to see Bauhaus and Gang of Four...I doubt I would ever see them otherwise. I have seen about 50% of the acts already,and most are not worth going all the way to Cali for imo. But if I lived close enough to drive I would!

Last year it was severe...I went and I got all dehydrated and crap....then the next day I was my friends prom date....that was harsh cuz I was still all out of it from Coachella. I don't know if I wanna go through that again..
