Coco Rocha On Her Modeling Limitations
—Coco Rocha has walked a smattering of shows so far this season — Diane von Furstenberg, Zac Posen, Sophie Theallet — but she says that in general, “I’m not in demand for the shows anymore . . . You know what, I’ve stopped caring. If I want a hamburger, I’m going to have one. No 21-year-old should be worrying about whether she fits a sample size.” She also said backstage at Diane von Furstenberg that she has limitations on whats she's willing to do for editorial: “I don’t do nudes, I don’t do semi-nudes, I don’t do cigarette shots. “It took me a long time in the business to realize I didn’t have to do everything people told me I should if I

She's amazing, I don't really know why she's not in demand, she's amazing model in runway, and for my taste she's the best editorial model!!! WTF!!! :ninja:

Is anyone watching her coverage of NYFW on NYC Life? I'm curious to know how she's doing.

I am 120% in agreement! Coco shouldn't ever fall out of demand - she's got a little extra something that puts her above many IMO.

But who am I to understand the whims of the fashion industry?

Loved her look at Sophie Theallet!!! :D

I adore Coco and it feels wierd people talking that she lost her charm and that she is not interesting anymore. She might not be modelling as much as she used to but clearly she is not so interested in it anymore and I am happy for her doing other things than just modelling, she is filling her dreams and living her life the way she wants.

anyway, she looked fabolous at Sophie Theallet fashion show, especially I like the way her hair is done, dark colour and that style suits her so well.

Go Coco <3<3

Not "Skinny" Enough?

MODEL Coco Rocha has spoken out about the fashion industry's fixation on super thin models, claiming that at seven stone, seven pounds she is no longer working as she used to because she is deemed not "skinny" enough.

"I'm not in demand for the shows anymore," she says on her blog site Oh So Coco. "I've been told to lose weight when I was really skinny. Everybody knows that, in general, a basketball player needs to be tall and a fashion model needs to be skinny, but how skinny is too skinny?"

The model, who wears a UK size six, is slated to take part in the CFDA's yearly panel discussion on health, which this year focuses on the impact of sample sizes on the size zero debate, entitled The Beauty Of Health: Resizing The Sample Size (read more about the event here).

"You know what, I've stopped caring," Rocha said. "If I want a hamburger, I'm going to have one. No 21-year-old should be worrying about whether she fits a sample size...I don't do nudes, I don't do semi-nudes, I don't do cigarette shots. It took me a long time in the business to realise I didn't have to do everything people told me I should if I wanted a career."

i didn't know that coco wasn'y doing shows because of her weight... i thought it was because she just wanted to do big shows... anyway skinny or not skinny love her walk !!

It's so refreshing to see a model who respects herself and her health.Who is well worded and confident, and interested in more than just material success.

Wow. Coco is simply admirable... I love her attitude and I love that she refuses to put herself up to be exploited. I love her values so much. I hope she inspires more of these younger models to stand up for themselves.

You go Coco!
