Converse - The All-Things 'Converse Sneakers/Trainers' Thread

I totally agree. Converse are no good when they look new & nice. I love them to look old, dirty & worn...thats when they are PERFECT! Mine even have the rubber coming apart a bit from the canvas on the side lol. If they start getting holes Ill replace them but for now...loooooooove them.

I'm glad I'm not the only one! hehe

My Converses are about 4 years old now, and they've been through everything... mud all over them from horseback riding in France, lots of wear from almost daily use, and plenty of rainstorms. Somehow, they've held up pretty well. No big holes, but a few small ones. :p Anyways, I'll wear them til they fall apart! To me, I've been through so much with those shoes, so they are so special because of all of their battle scars!

Gosh!In my city, the posh ones have started to wear Converses and just cos of these silly girls,i am embrassed to wear my Converses (i have 4 pairs) and i just adore them but everyone wears them and it is so annoying!I wish Nike had never bought Converse,it is all their fault!Converse used to be for punks and stylish ppl not for these fabric "beauties" :yuk:

Ick I hate super clean converse shoes. But if they're WAY too beaten up they look a bit bad..so somewhere in between is perrrfect, for me anyway. :p

i think the same :flower: although i do prefer them way to beaten up than super clean.

I havent washed mine since 5 years and they look perfect like this

i think converse were made to be beaten up and look aged and all scruffed up!^_^

but i supose if you want to keep them new just dont got jumping in puddles or mosh pits!

Your welcome:flower: You will probably be better off buying your first ones from a shop and trying on and then future pairs on the net.

Good advice :) I am interested in a pair of the leather ones. Thanks again;)

anyone have a better alternative to converse?
maybe more to a designer brand? but the concept and design remain same.does Miu Miu have something like converse?

I love All Stars, they are the perfect trainers, but they are overpriced.

I don't know about Miu Miu, but Paul Smith and Dior Homme both have Converse-inspired shoes.

You can always try converse.com
They have some goregeous shoes on there...like the cream with the black polka dots and black lace.
