Vanity Fair denies clashes on Depp shoot

A representative for Vanity Fair magazine has dismissed rumours editors were left disappointed with famed photographer Annie Leibovitz's shots of Johnny Depp for the publication's upcoming January issue.

The acclaimed snapper caught up with the Hollywood hunk on the London set of his forthcoming movie The Tourist to take pictures of him for the first cover of 2011.

But reports claimed the feisty photographer clashed with magazine fashion editor Jessica Diehl on the shoot, and Vanity Fair boss Graydon Carter was allegedly angry with the end results.

A source tells New York gossip column Page Six, "Annie is headstrong and has 'her vision' of what a shoot should be, and didn't agree with Jessica who was there to implement Graydon's vision."

However, a publicist for the magazine insists the reports are not true, saying, "Depp is our January cover and we're delighted with the photos."

This may sound horrible but.... when I first saw the name I thought, "who the hell is he?" I had never herd of Stoudemire until I looked him up, it turns out he's a basketball player. They already had one basketball player on the cover before, so why would they have another one? If they were to put a male athlete on the cover why not someone like Rafael Nadal or an Olympian (such as Michael Phelps, or even Shawn White)? Not some Basketball star that most of the Vogue readers have never herd about.

I still can't believe we were talking about this last year and then he decided to make the comeback to designing this year and is guest-editing the holiday issue. We are obviously clairvoyant !

In W's December issue Carine Roitfeld says Tom Ford couldn't make it to her masked ball because he was shooting in LA for French Vogue.

Terry Richardson shot the runway show for the issue...so technically all the models (and celebs I assume) who were there should logically be featured in the magazine .
