New York Knicks forward Carmelo Anthony let slip last week that Franca Sozzani gave him six pages in an upcoming issue of Vogue Italia.

The basketball star told The Cut that photographer he worked with photographer Mark Seliger on the shoot, which should be in print in either July or August. While he doesn’t remember exactly what he was wearing in the photos, he says he remembers a mix of both American and Italian labels being used, including Versace, John Varvatos and Tommy Hilfiger.

But Anthony didn’t agree to the shoot just because he thought it would be a fun thing to do — or because he couldn’t land a spread in American Vogue like fellow NBA players Amar’e Stoudemire and Lebron James. Anthony is trying to break some ground.
