Very cool news regarding Adele's Vogue US cover!

This may sound a little weird or what but, I don't get the fascination over Adele. Admiration, yes because of her talent in singing. It just seems like everyone loves her. But landing the cover of US Vogue? A bit too early I guess. (Oh my God, don't hate me guys). But if she really is going to be on the cover, then I'm still glad 'cause it's someone new and fresh.

As for the V thing with Bieber, I'll just wait for it as well. Although the fact that he's gonna be on the cover is giving me creeps already.

Nothing wrong with you not being a fan of Adele, plenty of people don't like her music, but the argument that its to "early" to give her the cover doesn't hold water for me. Not after a plethora of starlets, who didn't even have a break out role yet, but still got the cover. I mean come on, this is Adele's second chart topping album, she has a Grammy even (and is nominated for 6 more next year)!

Sure she aint High Fashion, or the usual Vogue suspect, but isnt it glorious they will have her on the March Power issue, and not on the Shape issue, that is usually the only time a woman with real curves can grace it? But i think Wintour et Vogue co. just like her, they even dressed her for the 2009 Grammy Awards, with Hamish being her +1.

Earlier today we reported on two conflicting rumors concerning US Vogue’s March covergirl: Styleite had it going to Taylor Swift, while WWD heard that Vogue was asking for “special cover outfits” from designers for an Adele cover. Well, we think we’ve cleared things up. We have it on good authority that Adele is Vogue’s March covergirl and Taylor Swift will cover February. It’s a big deal that Adele is covering March. March is the spring fashion issue and is the second most important issue following September. The covergirl has to be commercial and appealing to advertisers. And the fact that Vogue has decided on Adele for March, someone who doesn’t look like most other Vogue covergirls is a big deal. So kudos to Vogue for going with Adele here–let’s just hope they don’t give her the British Vogue close-crop treatment.

We were hoping she’d follow her British Vogue cover with a US one, and to land March is no small feat. And if our Facebook post about the rumor is any indication–readers want to see Adele on the cover, too. When we posed the question–who would you rather see on the cover, Taylor Swift or Adele?–the answer was a resounding “Adele!” Of the 18 readers responded there wasn’t one in favor of Swift. Sorry Tay.
But it’s still noteworthy that Taylor Swift has graduated from Teen Vogue covers to regular Vogue ones. Even if February isn’t as “important” it is still Vogue.

I'm very happy that Adele has landed the March cover of US Vogue. She surely deserves it because she is an immensely talented singer and kudos to US Vogue for putting someone who isn't exactly your mainstream bland beauty on the cover. As for Taylor Swift on the cover of the February issue, well, I guess I'll have to live with that,although I don't like it one bit.

Perhaps it could be Harper's Bazaar? Although Yeomans Tweeted, that they finally sent the cover to press, a week ago, so i wondered if it was someone big, and it took time. Mulligan is filming in Australia, so it could apply to her too.

I can't help but feel her UK Vogue debut is going to come later in the year for The Great Gatsby. Until then perhaps she'll do a Harper's. She fits nicely with them.

From what I understand Elle UK will be doing more model covers for issues, although probably still Limited Edition ones.
