indeed! If Anna Wintour wanted a contract with them, she would have got it already. M&M only did two stories for US Vogue, one in 2003 and 2004. If Anna really liked them, they would've worked more for US Vogue, something big like this does not happen over night, so I think US Vogue is ruled out. My bet is still W.

^I'm still leaning towards it being a conglomerate instead of a specific title, but since W is also under Conde Nast's wing (And Vogue is not keen on M&M), it could be solely W. Hmm...

I dunno about you guys, but my money is on Edita getting a Vogue Italia cover. Hintmag said she was shot for the mag so my hopes are up!

Personally, I'd be more likely to believe that this is refering to a girl who has not yet had her chance to prove herself on a cover. Hence why I doubt this pertains to Meghan.

As for highly touted new beauty, I'm going to throw Toni Garrn and Ali Stephens into the ring. Considering that they're going to be the faces of Calvin Klein and CK, I could certainly see how that would work.

In terms of a longshot: considering how surprised most were to see Franziska Drude make it to #4 on the VMag Top 10 Newcomers list, I think its worth a guess. Franziska certainly constitutes as new, and the big showing would qualify for highly touted. Still, the likelihood of this depends on whether or not its a V Magazine cover.

Still, I'd put my money on Toni or Ali being the subject of the buzz...

If it's M&M for W, I will start buying it religiously again - and it's been a good home for them so far. That said, I do think US Vogue would benefit from their work from time to time, to add a different flavour to the mix. I don't know why they don't make more use of them already. They don't have to use them every issue, but once every three-four months or so would be a nice change.
