Cover Rumor Thread

Yeah! I've said that about SJP quite a few times. It baffles me why she was always so underused over here. Even during the height of the SATC days.

I'd normally look forward to seeing what happens with Charlize for a cover, but with UK Vogue, who knows what pink/orange neon eye sore might occur.

Why Charlize? Not that I don't like her (she's divine) but is she being actual in something?

She has Snow White & The Huntsman coming out about then, I believe? I imagine that will mean Kristen Stewart will also turn up somewhere, as well as the Vanity Fair shoot she's already shot. Harper's Bazaar would go for Kristen I reckon.

^No doubt styled by Nicolas Formichetti.

I was wondering when she would pop up on a cover.

Azaelia Banks on the cover of V Magazine March I believe shot by Inez & Vinoodh

Do you have any confirmed info? I can't see her getting cover of the important Spring Fashion issue, they just had Justin Bieber on the cover of Music issue and putting another musician on the cover again, wouldn't make sense for me, personally. I imagine an actor on the cover.

Anyways, here's the preview of Azaelia's ed for V.

^ My humble opinion tells me that V magazine's previews are always only for the inside... on the past issues it has been the same scheme they have been following. And I also do agree they should not have another musician on the cover.

^ Yeah, I agree. V magazine is turning into a bad version of Rolling Stone. They haven't had a model on the cover in a while.

Doutzen and Adriana also did a shoot styled by Nicola for V. Supposedly a male model on set said it was the cover.

Franca Sozzani told us Sunday afternoon at Diane von Furstenberg‘s fall runway presentation that she’s currently working on another Africa-themed issue for L’Uomo Vogue that will be on newsstands in May or June.

Sozzani (who had been chatting with Bravo head honcho Andy Cohen in the front row before we got to her) told us that more than simply being about Black people, this issue “about Africa, but about people who are from Africa. In a positive way. In a very positive way.”
The magazine has dedicated an entire issue to the people of Africa before — back in November 2008, she followed her controversy-making Black issue of Vogue Italia with the first African-themed L’Uomo Vogue. We are, of course, excited to see how this issue will be different from the last one, which, as Robin Givhan wrote in The Washington Post, featured everyone from Matt Damon to Michelle Obama “all expressing their affection for and their personal connection to Africa.”

While she declined to give us specifics about the issue (which, fair, since it’s months away from being done), Sozzani did say that it will go beyond designers and models who were born or have roots in Africa.

“It will be about the presidents, it will be about the people. But in a very positive way,” Sozzani reiterated. “I don’t want to say in a glamourous way, but I wanted to show the best side, but only the good side. There are a lot of talents, a lot of talented people in art, in music, in cinema and everywhere. So I really wanted to push that side.”

Whether she’ll get any push back for focusing on the lighter, friendlier side of Africa at a time when parts of the continent are still reeling from social uprising and genocide remains to be seen.

What it could be for? Maybe Vogue Italia March?

According to Lori Goldstein, Stam, Coco, Karen Elson + Joan Smalls have shot something apparently 'epic' that is to come out in March...

via JordanB from Jessica Stam's thread

^That sounds really interesting and exciting. And it seems like a Meisel cast. Hhmmm??? Crossing my fingers now for VI March and hopefully, by Meisel.

Vogue Italia March is basically the only March issue that's not out, so I really hope it for VI.
