Cover Rumor Thread

Anna Ewers is shooting (according to tagged photo on IG) with Mert & Marcus in Barbados.

I predict an Ashley "Halsey" "Bipolar" Frangipane cover sooner rather than later.

^^^ I just saw it too. I love the cover! It's a big step up from Jan 15'.

Alicia Vikander by David Sims. Starting the year out right (a new face). Reminds of Rihanna's March 2014 issue (cover & editorial).

Also why does Emma Roberts keep getting covers? She is boring. So boring.

She's only getting way too little, if you ask me! I mean, she's in a hit show after all. Have you seen Scream Queens? It's my guilty pleasure. Hope she'll book Elle sometime this year.

Anna Ewers by Mert & Marcus x Barbados feels like a Vogue Paris feature for me. Mert & Marcus in a foreign destination is a classic VP formula. Perhaps she'll get March considering her powerhouse sales last year?

It's been confirmed that the April issue of Vogue Australia will be guest edited by Mario Testino.

Photographer Mario Testino using Sydney as the backdrop for special Vogue fashion shoot

HE is famed for photographing royalty of all kinds — regal, celebrity and fashion.

Now Mario Testino, one of the world’s best fashion photographers, is coming to Sydney for the first time to pay homage to the nation’s most beautiful men and women.

The man famed for his portraits of beauties such as Diana, Princess of Wales, Beyonce, Kate Moss, Gisele Bündchen, Scarlett Johansson and Angelina Jolie, will be here to guest edit fashion bible Vogue Australia next month.

And while no names have been confirmed, there is speculation he could turn his lens on faces such as athlete-turned-model Jarrod Scott, leggy brunette Nicole Trunfio, and actors Abbey Lee Kershaw and Joel Edgerton.

Testino, 61, will touch down for an *extended stay and is expected to shoot our brightest and finest talent in some of Sydney’s landmark locations, showcasing the city in all its glory.

While his 35 years as a photographer has seen Testino gain renown for shooting beautiful women, in this trip he is expected to feature people from all walks of life.

“It will be an incredible homage to Australia and to have Mario shoot a special dedicated issue for Vogue Australia is certainly a career highlight for me,” Editor-in-Chief of Vogue Australia, Edwina McCann, said.

The visit has come via a partnership between Vogue and Destination NSW.

Tourism and Major Events Minister Stuart Ayres said luring the photographer to Australia would be hugely beneficial.

“His prolific photography continues to be highly sought after by celebrities, *designers and royalty and now Mario *Testino will turn his attention to our great city,” he said.

“The NSW Government is proud to partner with Vogue Australia to bring Mario Testino to Sydney to shoot exclusive content for the fashion title’s April issue.

“Mario Testino’s visit will generate worldwide exposure for Sydney and NSW.”

Hhhmmm, I doubt it. Sounds like it will be kept exclusive for the Aussies. I hope it's Abbey who'll get the cover. When he guest edited Vogue Japan he put Miranda on the cover. She'll obviously form part of this line-up, if not the cover as well.

I would LOVE to see Saoirse on the cover, her eyes are so captivating and she is such a chameleon with different styling in her roles.

I just saw Brooklyn today and I agree with this soooo much. I need her to be on EVERY fashion magazine cover, like... immediately. She's so enchanting!

I saw this ridiculous article by American Vogue citing Kendall and Gigi as the new supermodels, and comparing them to Iman, the 90s girls and Gisele, saying they're the successors of those women (they even discredited Karlie). They are for sure getting a cover this year. The only reason why US Vogue would be so stupid as to write such trash, is because they're preparing people because they know it will get backlash. So they're pre-heating the oven, to hype people up and make them seem more respected than they actually are.

I can guarantee you, they're getting a big issue. Probably March.

It's really sad that they would say that. Comparing them with the GREATS!!!!!! Honestly, I think the "super" models of today are Karlie, Joan and Jourdan. GiGi and Kendall are just models. That's it.

I figured that they would get a cover TOGETHER! I would say Jennifer Lopez has March on lock (I mean she is definition of the POWER ISSUE in my eyes) She has Shades of Blue coming out in January along with American Idol. A Las Vegas show starting February.

G & K with a May cover to go with the Met Gala theme: Fashion in an Age of Technology (perfect for those two).

I believe Adele shot a cover whilst in New York the other week, haven't a clue what however. I'd guess it's probably going to be US Vogue although she hasn't covered Vanity Fair so I suppose that's an option.

I actually expected Adele to get way more than ID. She's been dominating the press with just one single, one cannot deny that she's quite a force. Personally I'd welcome Vanity Fair more than Vogue. But it might very well be for W or V. The latter seems obsessed with pop stars lately.

I saw somewhere that Karlie and Kendall were shooting for Vogue at the Facebook HQ like one or two weeks ago. It could be related to the MET Gala. I think Gigi was there too.

Any clue on who is on the January cover of US Vanity Fair?
