Cover Rumor Thread

In the UK, I think I'm right in saying, Gaga has only really had Elle as a major appearance. Other than that it has been i-D and more niche publications. Even at the height of her popularity she didn't book as many as you would expect. Especially when you consider Lana Del Rey got a March Vogue cover without her album even being out.

I'd like to see her land the cover of British Vogue personally, see what they'd do with her. I doubt it would be very exciting, but still, I'd like to see it.

Any VI news or rumours?

I've seen somewhere that it rummored to be by Peter Lindbergh and the covergirl is one of these - Adriana Lima, Izabeli Fontana, Eva Herzigova, Liya Kebede, Carolyn Murphy, etc or maybe together.

^ From what I remember, 3 multi-girls covers all by Peter Lindbergh.

She's not really relevant enough anymore.

Gaga is not what she was before, her latest single fell nearly 30 spots in its second week both in th US and UK. Her managers might still able to sell her for a cover but I don't see a lot of magazines coming to her. If she does the Super Bowl that might change.

Didn't someone say Vogue was looking into having GAGA for the March cover? It was between her and Hillary Clinton?

If Gaga does the Super Bowl halftime show she will definitely score a big cover in 2017; otherwise I don't really see it happening.

I think people believed she'd get this year's March cover which ultimately went to Adele.

If A Star Is Born goes ahead as planned, she'll land it. No way is Wintour missing out on the opportunity for an editorial with Bradley Cooper in it.

Am I the only one hoping for a Bella US Vogue cover? I don't know how likely that is but I would love it, I think she's fantastic. I'd also really like to see her on UK Vogue.

In the case of Gaga I just think she's being much more selective with her appearances this time round. She has said that she hated the relentless promotional tours for previous albums so I think she's scaling back with her new record; she hasn't really even performed her new single anywhere yet and it's been out for 3 weeks or so. I think any magazine covers will be carefully spaced out as she has several big projects over the next year or so and I think she and her new manager are well aware of the danger of over-exposure. Although it certainly is strange that she never landed W, Interview, UK Vogue and other titles, especially at the height of her mega-fame.

They haven't even started filming yet, have they? Is the film scheduled for spring 2017?

Hmmm, I think Bella's feature with Mario might be for Allure?

Well you know, some magazines are still falling over themselves to have his name as a cover credit, so it could be Vogue China or the like. Bella already covered Allure's anniversary issue last year.

But it may well be an editorial for Allure, as they seem to be the only title who gets away with having him shoot edits only.

I wonder which model will get the December cover of UK Vogue! Last year was a stunning surprise. I don't think it will be a new face, probably Freja, Lara, Natalia, Gisele etc. And I know I'm reaching for the stars here, but a Sam Rollinson cover would be really nice! Come on Alexandra, it's been nearly ten years since a Northern model got the cover! :)

^ Last year was Karlie.. how is that a stunning surprise?

British Vogue is the least surprising Vogue out there though.
